Very organized and well thought out!❤ Best wishes for the upcoming year. I love your room. It is not overly flashy (visually cluttered). I am a medically retired SPED teacher who would recommend your classroom due to your calm demeanor, structured setting, and safe environment. Thank you-
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, I really appreciate it! I try my best to keep my classroom calm and relaxing to support my kids’ learning.
@ThrivingInThirdGrade Good to know. A friend mentioned it to me last year, but I was really unsure if it would damage the walls, so I didn't try it, but nothing sticks to our walls, lol
Great video! I would love to see your plans! I am also teaching 3rd grade. Also can you link the spelling information that you shared from tpt? Thanks!

I just found your channel because I love watching set uo videos. So far I'm loving your channel!! The camera you have for the sudent pictures what one is it? It seema perfect to add to the classroom wishlist. I work at a very small Catholic school in Connecticut, so all items have to be purcased by myself. Thank you. Alicia from CT
I am shocked at the class size you had last year and this year. Surprising that your district didn’t make a split class with those students. It still would be a tiny class of 17 lol.
@@EducationalRoots I teach at a public neighborhood school in Illinois. We only serve a small area, so that’s why our sizes are so small! Other grades have up to 28 students; I’ve just had two tiny classes in a row.
I got rid of classroom jobs and went for helper of the day. You could either go down the attendance list or choose a secret student and award them with the helper job. Just a thought.
Class dojo? You could have them deposit their bucks in the “bank” (class dojo) and then you could add more options, you can include how much something is and when you take away “points” in this case “bucks” it’s for the item they bought
When you are running low on the Miss L Bucks, could you ask the students to put them in the ‘bank’ and then you can continue to use the bucks but they don’t feel they have to spend them?
I'm a retired teacher I've taught everything from toddlers thru the tenth graders and I also have taught finearts and Spanish teacher currently in my district they have brought back all of the retired teachers and made all of us intervention specialists.
Did you figure out your classroom job sheet? I've used Excel for many years. I put the jobs down the side panel and the week date as the header for each column. Then, I rotate the student numbers (or you could put names) down the columns. I just finished this week for this year. Good luck with what you decide.
@@maryrivers1502 That’s what I did too! I did alphabetical order for one job, reverse alphabetical for the next, and then I started from the middle for the last two jobs and fixed any overlaps. Thanks for the advice!
Name tags for students desk and classroom assignments and homework on whiteboard assignments for students and teachers and staff papers work for students Presents
Hi! I love your clases, it's cute... I'm from Argentina... Why in UUEE teach south America and North America separated? In my country we learn and teach America just one continent, because it is... (Sorry if my English is not so well!)
I would maybe attempt to copy the Mrs. L bucks and then laminate them so they hold up. Does the parent who made you them still have a child who goes to your school? If so, can you see if she can send you the file so you can make more?
Where do you teach? Which state? In two years I plan to move after my youngest graduates. Would love a change of environments but too ‘young’ to retire.😅
Is that typical of your school? The small numbers? Is your school a k-8 or k-6? That is pretty awesome to have those small numbers. If I had small numbers like that I could probably teach another 20 years-ha.🤪
