You have the option to rent a private car or join a group tour from Azerbaijan, depending on your preference. I highly recommend staying there for a day or two, especially when it’s snowing, as it’s truly beautiful. If you’re staying at a hotel, they can also guide you to the best options for traveling to Gabala. Definitely make sure you book through a trusted agency :).
Hi Aisha :), if you prefer expert and local knowledge, and a structured itinerary, a guided tour might be better for you. However, if you enjoy flexibility, independent exploration, going on your own could be more better. But, I’d definitely recommend if you are opting for the independent option, hiring a driver to take you to these attractions will be a plus.

Both were good in their own right but I lean more towards rich history, diverse attractions and bustling city vibe so I liked Tbilisi better. I found Batumi was thriving with a casino scene which I personally don’t enjoy but it had it’s own charm :).
I stayed in Courtyard a couple of times in a bigger suite and it was beautiful. I actually own a flat in the same building Alliance Palace but my girlfriend came so I thought why not. However, the best suite would be in Paragraph hotel which is also part of Marriott
