Julianne and I have owned this land for more than 10 years. Between military deployments and then going to work for the government and being gone for months at a time we never fully got the land to it potential. Now that I am home more we have made it a mission to build this homestead and become self sufficient. The channel is going to be used to help keep me accountable to my goals. 1. Is to build a home where we love to live. 2. To build a self sustaining farm where I can earn a full time income. 3. To inspire as well as learn from this adventure.
05 Dodge 1500 5.7 abs light on speedometer doesn't show speed all other gauges work truck shifts fine p0501 code pops up so would that be the sensor on the rear differential or transmission
I am not sure, I have not had the issue with my front window. You could try to see if the other side control works on it. I would have to see what the wiring pins look like to determine if they are the same as the back switch.
I have the OS 23....same exact set up. How do the 3/4 inch holes line up from the 3.5' piece joining brackets, and 7' pieces? Are there holes that get covered up? Do the end joining brackets overhang?
I am not at home right now to look at it, but I can't remember if there are some holes that get covered up. Some of the holes I know are not because you bolt the tracks to the brackets through those holes. Yes the end joining bracket overhangs so if you wanted to add more track there would be room to slide another one on, if that makes sense.
It is not a weak spot on a TYM. It is a weak spot on all tractors. They are not made like a backhoe loader or a skid steerer. They are made to farm activities, not land clearing.
Yes I agree, after I watch the video, the way the grapple was extended there was way too much leverage on the boom. Thankfully, TYM covered the repair, even though it was operator error. Thanks for the comment friend.
Hell yeah brother! Mine just started the same thing, only after it gets warm, jumping around between im guessing 2&3 when just creepin thru town at that same 25-35 ish speed. Thanks a ton!!! 👍🏻
My 05 Cummins won’t move, only code is p0483. Acts like it’s in neutral in D/R1/2/3. Idle doesn’t change when shifting, can’t really even feel it shifting or changing gears
I once had a p0483 code, my truck still drove but I lost my AC and the truck would over heat when towing. Some how the fan clutch wires got cut and the fan did not work. As far as the transmission, I always start with the cheapest fix first. Check the fluid level and make sure there is enough in there. While checking the fluid level notice the color. if it is dark brown (Dirty looking) could need fluid and filter change.
I did not. I know it was not a bad switch as I tried the one from the other door. I am thinking it may be wires are pinched where they go from the door to the cab.
Negative…no cracks. The white hose that slips in to the bladder slips out. Has to to be pushed back in. Ive had to push ours in a couple times. Lots of work for nothing.
I have an LG fridge as well and I’m getting a leaks in the back right corner on the orange line. Any idea?? Back of fridge. It drips down on the floor and makes a puddle
I wonder if there is a connection that needs to be reseated. Before the puddle started to occur had you moved the fridge? I would think that it is a bad connection or the line has a small cut in it.
Not sure where it's leaking but another guy had a leak where the line runs into the fridge at the top in the back. There's a 90 fitting there, and there's a couple others back there might be the problem. Mines in the door itself, hopefully just a loose line but it's going to be fixable anyway.
Glad that helped. weird thing for me is that my window started working again (from the drivers controls) after I did this. My thought is a bad switch or maybe the wires got crimped in the door? I haven't dug deeper yet.
@@dwighthires3163 it was weird it didn't work from either controls, I did this to get the window up and a day later it started working again from the front control. I need to check the wiring.
@@LHHomestead I replaced the switch and it now works. My problem was different from your because my switch was indeed bad. Now it has been problem free for a month.
Just unpacked my 24 inch bar which I purchased because of good reviews and customer service and I too am going to down some large pines and didn't want to spend 1200. Anyway after looking for assembly directions gave up and guessed about as well as you. I think you got long short screws for bottom of bar but still wondering about that oil drain plug looking bolt included. Directions would sure have been nice. Thanks for the help and 6 mos later do you still like it?
Not exactly sure, could have been when I filmed it was cold out and I changed the sensor without running the truck. It was fairly new fluid because I had just installed the "new" used transmission.
I have the abs and brake light on and no speedometer on my 04 ram, i have replaced the sensor on the real axle twice and i have 2 speed sensors on the transmission that i have changed once each. If i plug the sensor up on the rear end nothings changes except rarely and randomly my speedometer will act like it wants to work and the truck will shift weird and then it quits again. I have also changed both front wheel bearings, only one has a speed sensor and I still have lights and no speedometer!
Thanks for sharing. I'll be aware when running mine from here out. Sometimes the pain of learning becomes a teaching lesson like this. It was stand up of you to demonstrate and help us all out!
Turned my wipers on in 97 dodge ram van worked I pushed to spray water and heard like a metal rod fall inside there now no wipers but i can hear the motor in there like it is working
Thank you for the vid. I just changed my sensor, and the cap broke off, just like yours. Had i not seen your video befire hand, i probably would've had a panic moment
Good info. You have a great attitude with the haters…very good self control on your part! Congrats and it’s great to read that you’re open to suggestions on how to make the vid short & sweet. Again, nice work showing us how to make this simple fix!! Thank you
my 05 did the same last week. 220k 4.7lL auto trans, manual shift np241D, 9/14 3.55 rear. I didn't have the front diff, cv's or shaft in (took out for rebuild) (yes I got better mpg) Rear shaft snapped at the U joint, Had bad pinion bearings and vibration for 6k miles before it broke. (ride till it die) fortunately my case stayed intact but cracked it clean through. I am in the process of rebuilding front diff, front shaft, front ifs, new power steering system, rear main seal, trans service and new seals, new rear shaft, rebuilding rear axle, new leaf springs wit helpers, and new exhaust as we speak I was lucky to find a matching donor year and make with a locked up Hemi. Hit me up if you need any gen 3 stuff I have everything off the donor minus the cab shell and frame (scrap run) also minus what I just said I took but I have all my old stuff. plus a manual shift front diff with 3.92 gears and a 96 9/14 rear with 3.55 gears and drum brakes.
I feel like it is a design flaw, crazy how many dodges have the same issue. Right now I don't need anything for my 2500, but that seems to change daily 🤣. I will hit you up if I need any parts in the future, thank you!
@@LHHomestead anything past 2nd gear and it either is slipping so bad it's as if in neutral if your fluttering the fuel. Then once climbed into high rpms you can feel it engaged as if you are redlined in 1st. First I need to find a way to take out almost 2 quarts of fluid obviously. But it is throwing a code related to a sensor or the solenoid I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll let you know in just a bit which specifically. I'm praying it's not mechanical because I am in a desperate position in more ways then fingers to count. Iv got $75 to my name and lost my job the same week I was ordered to begin child support. My daughters are absolutely everything to me. Iv got two weeks to get a job and take a loss on my firebird that also gave up on me a couple months ago as well. I'm planning to try everything free I can in hopes of regaining at least 3rd. If not I'm preparing to drive to work and sleep in it somewhere near. And only go all the way home on the weekend until I can make something happen. Im mechanically inclined far more than the average person. I grew up poor and that's been one of my biggest blessings in disguise. But I'm not transmission specialist and only have a limited knowledge of how they function. Let's assume 3-4 need rebuilt. Is that simply just replacing wearables such in your average rebuild kit? Or the metal shafts, gears, bearings etc. Iv only ever done new replacement swaps and mostly all were mechanical standards and didn't have multiple personality disorder from having 4 brains telling it what to do. Ah the good old days when things were simpler, mechanical and dumb. Believe it or not I'm not even 30 but much preferred things then.
My 2006 Ram 3500 seems to have glitchy electrical system, where turning the truck off then back on often will clear up the problem. So when you reseat the plug, you turn the truck off right? Or the radio or seat heaters will be goofy, turn the truck off then back on will reboot the computer and all will be well in the 2006 Dodge truck world. It works for me, so before you go twisting some bolts give this a shot. Waking up the ghost in the machine.
I sometimes get the issue where my heater/AC fan will not turn on, and usually the fix is to turn the vehicle off then back on. I wonder if it could be a grounding issue. I notice on my battery terminals I cannot get them tight. When I have them fully clamped I can still pull the ground terminal off by hand (if that makes sense) I know how a simple thing like a bad ground can cause all kinds of issues with the electrical system.
@@LHHomestead you also need to be careful with the bucket doing that back dragging with a bucket is very hard on the Rams the other thing you don't want to do is put the bucket in the dump position and try to move dirt that way either that can blow your seals out of the ram
