Every car looked and sounded different. Current rules encourage all cars to look and sound the same. I know modern WRC cars are faster but give me this period of rallying all day long. The rallies were also longer, there was no repeats of stages, it was a marathon for competitors, officials and us spectators...
One of my early events. Plain white Escort and Cortina Estate service barge parked next to Martin Robinson’s PUY. Guest navigator decided it would be a good idea to go on the lash the night before. Didn’t end well 🤮
A simply awesome venue from the heyday of club rallying now gone. Here is a real nostalgia hit for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fM3u6v8n2kA.html
The good old days when you had to get in and drive the car just like Colin if in doubt flat out I will never forget you buddy always remember you and your style of driving I’ve been watching you since I was about five years old and I love looking back at your rally videos rip Colin maybe gone but never forget you ❤❤
As a teenager I loved within earshot of these events and regularly visited them. I very much recall the turquoise Fiat Uno the Burton car dealership used to to run at them.
REVS Rally Event Videos ok thanks anyway, pretty sure my parents have some footage as they filmed me competing including the 6r4 spinning with the Cleethorpes mayor in the passenger seat!
