Unsure about AAFC standards, but in AAC you can only do it while wearing the fleece.

As a cadet in the AAC and soon to be lance corporal, I personally suggest Army Cadets but it is completely up to you. AAC may be a bit more demanding and physical but it looks good on your resume and DEFINITELY is a use of gaining knowledge, trying out new experiences and making mates.

@@g_eorgeh4rrison455 Thank you so much for the reply. I was pretty certain I would be in the AAC. My mum works at a primary school and there is a high school just down the road from where she works which coincidentally, is the closest AAC base to us. So yeah we are still getting everything ready. I have one question though, when you are being promoted to N.C.O like corporal or sergeant don’t you have to go to a camp?

@@horatiohornblower4123 After completion of your recruit course you will be promoted to cadet (CDT) and receive your slouch hat and patches (that’s how it works here) you are then basically applicable for a LCPL position which requires no training but you have to do like google quizzes and prove that you should be in that position by just being a role model at cadets really. But if you want to become a full corporal (CPL) then yeah you have to take a course which is like a few days I believe.

SGT, WO1, WO2, CUO they all have courses but LCPL doesn’t and besides you have to deal with idiots and do more shit which kinda sucks but atleast you have more rank

Probably too late but practise. That's all it is. You first demonstrate the movement, break it down explaining each step and aspects of each step, have them do each step adding one step each time, then to your timing, then have them call the time, judging the time, then correct words of command. And fault correct throughout.

Did you see when this was posted? And yes you do wear a HFFK with your DPCUs and GPUs. Every rank from CDT to GPCAPT(AAFC) can wear it. Hell it's the same in the actual air force.

Yes we do.. also we wear GPU(general purpose uniform) because of the confusion of the uniform between Army cadets and Air force cadets

Generally yes you do need to go because important training and assessments take place on the camp

@Mitchell Jones If the remedy for someone's grammar that's probably not even old enough to enter the workforce is to fault correct on a publicly visible forum then you need to reassess yourself as a leader and as a human being. There are several lines being crosses here that most organisations wouldn't tolerate. Mainly OPSEC and minor forms of harassment.

If they're a CFSGT, assuming they joined at the earliest possible time, was selected for their JNCO promo on their first year, and did their SNCO the very next year, they'd be at least 15 and in grade 10. At 15 you are old enough to join the workforce. At 15 I could spell sergeant and make a sentence that makes sense. And if they joined a bit later or didn't make CCPL in 1 year, they'd be even older. I'm not attempting to ridicule them, I am helping them. If no one ever tells them, they'll never know.

Once every 6 months should do, you can iron the uniform but with pants and tie put cloth over it.

That would be almost impossible to do, most people will only get one or two standard exceeded PAs and on my JNs only half of people got any standard exceeded PAs. That being said you'll get a sheet that says exactly what the PA is and that's what they're looking for, so really just memorise those attributes and try to show them wherever possible. Although you don't need any standard exceeded to pass the course, and doing well on your PAs doesn't make you more likely to dux, it's really just a personal achievement thing.

​@@matthewlindberg2844 Not sure if you have started cadets yet, I am from 703, there is a drum course, if you want to do that, this year at RAAF Base Pearce (There are other activities throughout the year too) there is a musicians/band course as-well at Pearce at the same time, but I am unsure If you're able to nominate for it this year, or if they would have other activities through out the year.
