Taking the whole bowl, stuffing it in the box and throwing it away with the cereal is a huge red flag that her dad is abusive. Also, did you notice that all his kids at the table were scared of him.
Addressing stuff you mentioned : - They're about 6-7 months post-crash, depending on how long Shauna's pregnancy lasted. - The freaking voicemail... WELL... - The new, creepier intro: I think it's to empathize that the mood's changed. In the adult timeline, they're all reunited for the first time in decades. In the 90's timeline, after the baby's death, hope/innocence feels gone and there's brutality like never before. I feel like no one interrupted Shauna both due to Lottie asking them not to and due to shock/fear. - Van's pills are hers, oxycodone is a strong painkiller often used to manage cancer-related pain.
The morse code Walter sent to Misty in the sensory deprivation tank hallucination was UOYEVOLIUOYEVOLI, or I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU backwards. Can't wait to see your reactions to the next two episodes. Buckle up, it's a crazy ride!
Charlie looks more 16-17 than 13. She looked at least 15 in Season 5-6 lol. Crazy to think that they barely time jumped FTWD. It would of helped with Charlie's age because the actress kind of grew up by Season 7. Season 6 John Dorie kind of mentioned or at least alluded to that it's been at least over 5 years since the apocalypse because of the way he talked about the word 'serial killer'. Love how they still keep Charlie's Vulture skills in the show. Alexa gets me teary eyed almost as much as Frank & Alycia. I wish they kept Alexa around for another season. That girl is the most underrated actress in S4-7. Charlie deserved better writing and there was so much to explore with her character. Sucks because she's apart of Nick's Death legacy and feels like the writers spat on that with slowly killing Charlie. Her character deserved better writing. She kinda reminded me of Enid.
Have I commented on what an awesome soundtrack this show has? They have selected some great tunes for these episodes! I love the cheers and applause Van and Tai get when they kiss at the start of the party! ❤ Shauna sounded possessed when she spoke to Javi, but it could also be Javi was really freakin' high on shrooms and that is what he heard. Just like minutes before when Van took off her mask and Tai told her she was beautiful, we saw colors and wavy lines, but that didn't really happen. Perceptions can be messed up when we are looking through the eyes of someone who is tripping. Travis sees the girls as having black eyes and sharp teeth, the girls seem him as a stag which must be hunted. It is funny, when I started this series I thought all the weird stuff was because Lottie had run out of her anti-psychotic meds (for schizophrenia) and clearly Taissa had some weird childhood trauma that seems to have created Dissociative Identity Disorder. But no, now I am sure there is something more going on here.
The fight over the drugs when Misty bursts into Natalie's motel room and snorts the coke so Nat won't was possibly the funniest thing I have seen all year. WTF Misty! LOL Then top notch acting by Juliette Lewis in the phone freakout "Talk to your manager!" was amazing, then she snorts coke off of the filthy motel room floor. Holy crap. Its true, Jackie didn't know that the guy Nat had sex with was the same guy who made Travis' life hell, but then again it was not Jackie's place to be talking about Natalie at all. And then she outs Shauna's pregnancy to everyone just so she can be smug about it. Once again, I have no sympathy for Jackie. I am glad Van survived!
That scene with Shauna and Tai with the wire... just watching that gave me a full body cringe. I have seen plenty of horror and gore, but this didn't have a single drop of blood shown yet still managed to freak me the fuck out.
Hey Katia! I am binge watching your reactions to Yellowjackets to get caught up. Last episode I was going to say how much I love your intro and now I see you have changed it up! I love this one too. Do you do those yourself? Pretty cool. 5:31 Your reaction when you realize the truth. LOL
Did You Know: The actor who plays young Travis was actually a famous figure skater before he turned to acting? Born in Canada but skated on behalf of Brazil (where his mom was from). Travis plays a real dick with an attitude, but in this episode when they kill the first deer, they bring it back to camp and says "It was all Natalie" he started to earn some respect back.
Love this series so much! The slow but steady character development is terrific. Love Misty, she is so crazy, hahaha. Its true, an abandoned cabin in the woods is inherently creepy, notwithstanding the dead body in the attic. But pragmatically, they really could use somewhere to stay that has a big enough floor for everyone to sleep, solid walls so no bears, wolves or just plain pests. Plus a fireplace! Cooking pots! This place is a bonanza for them and of course they don't realize how long they have to wait (they were on day three when they found this?) it clearly will save lives.
I know a lot of people stan for Jackie but honestly I was done with her in this episode. I know I am a year behind but just want you to know I like your content!
Nice to meet another person reaction to Yellowjackets! Love this series. I had hear the name of The Wilds but never watched it. I think I will check it out.
God, this cast is just...so good. They get in front of that camera and they *ACT* Sophie, in particular, was just phenomenal. Misty's breakdown to Lottie, though, was also a standout moment for me. God, what an episode
I know. 💔 This was awful and broke me for a while after it ended. Sophie did an amazing job. All the young and older cast are amazing in this series. I can’t choose a favorite.
i just found you and i am not done with your video yet, but i wanted to say thank you for taking the time to do this. i spend 90% of my time after every episode looking for content about this show. no one i know watches it... dumb bits
You're the first reactor I've seen get that Taissa's reflection was referring to Van when she put her fingers over her face in the way that both Van's scars and the mask Taissa made for her are shaped. Granted, it could be hard to interpret if you kind of forget what Van's scars even look like
I agree there's something supernatural, but I will say Laura Lee's death could have been natural, the fire it seemed to me came from under the seat, which is where the engine often is on those small planes
I have heard speculation that those planes have fuel lines under the passenger seat but that seems irresponsible to me. The fuel is held in the wing tanks and the engine is out front (like a car) and separated from the cabin by a firewall (again like a car). So I can't imagine any reason to run a fuel line into the cockpit. However, there is certainly wiring. Maybe an electrical fire which then spread to...? I dunno, planes are built for safety. But if Katia is right and this is supernatural, no firewall is going to protect anyone.
I felt like we all knew it was coming but the way they jumped into they Lil jack snack I was still like wtff are these lil girls doing. The cuts between the Greek reality helped but damn lol. I just can't wait for more and to watch it with you ❤ ! Buzz(x3)
I fully think that some entity didn't want Laura Lee to leave. Like that bear caught on fire by itself!!!! I was also reading different thoughts that Laura Lee represents a differing faith too, and so if this entity/forest wanted the girls to believe in it, Laura Lee had to go, or else she'd be in the way, if that makes sense!
gas pipes in airplanes like that run right under the passenger's seat I think the showrunners wanted it to seem like it could have been something supernatural but also provide some sort of explanation for it.
@@maxbrunette1737 I think someone found the exact plane model and technical manual. There's a fuel line that runs under the seats, which could come into contact with exposed wires if those wires were corroded. It makes sense then if the plane could take off, but then caught fire and exploded midair.
Don’t get me started on the whole Jackie thing and how they treated her right before her preventable death. So devastated. Jackie represented society and was rational, that and many other things led to her death. She didn’t deserve that. Side note: Sophie Nelisse saying she got so emotional in that scene because she is so close to Ella Purnell and just picturing her dying and seeing her in that makeup caused all that emotion to spill out! Wow!
She was rational? Wasting food and not contributing? Starting drama and trying to boss everyone around like she’s still a high school mean girl? She represented the part of the group that was week and needed to die for everyone else to survive.
The simple fact is that apart from Jackie, there is, and was, at best 2-3 decent characters on the show. The vast majority are horrible people - regardless of whatever trauma they've endured. I hate discussing this show seeing as theres a significant portion of people that seem to want to cheer on the lunacy and make excuses for every horrible decision/action.
@@doeara5376 The difference is: Jackie was being a teenager, the rest were acting like psychopaths. Yes, Jackie was acting like a spoiled teenager, because she was one. She had an idea that they would be saved in a short time. But in the last two episodes you could tell that she was waking up, and she was the only one to point out the mistakes of the others. The difference is, the other girls were happy to point out Jackie's faults, but when she pointed out that they almost murdered someone, they turned on her, as if what she was saying was crazy talk.
@@doeara5376 I agree 100%. Some people think Jackie was reasonable, but only because she had thrown away her food on the night of the Doomcoming so she didn't get crazy high like everyone else. (Why *did* she throw away food? I thought she was starving like everyone else) No, Jackie was wrong at every turn from the moment the plane crashed and she prevented Shauna from helping Van. The only time she was "right" was being the only sober person when everyone else was tripping balls. She might have been right to accuse them of trying to kill Travis, but the real blame belonged on Misty and for some reason she turned it into a fight between her and Shauna.
Sophie Nélisse is *so good* at those super emotional, guttural wails that she does! Shauna pleading for Jackie to wake up after realizing what happened never fails to break my heart. So much tension building up between the group, leading them to cast Jackie out for the night, not knowing it would be her last. That weight must be so fucking heavy on Shauna
She is so well cast for the role of Shauna! I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started this series. This and The Last of Us really started this year off right for me, lol.
