Just how well will that tape stick to the hood in very hot climates like the desert where it gets 115-18 degrees in the summer? And how do you ever remove this AVS if it needs to be replaced?
Have you guys made a finishing cap mud guard for 1500 ZR2s front and rear? I like the looks of your product, I'm just hesitant to install a long mud flap on an off-road 1500.... Chevrolet advertises the ZR2s with a molded mud flap, but unfortunately you can not get those.....
Hello there, you actually don't need to finishing cap for the 1500 ZR2, we did make custom fit mudflaps for this truck though. We have a nylon option that allows for the rubber to be removed for going offroad. Search GCN209K for the options. Sharp Truck is our U.S. distributor and they have them on their site. Hope this helps!
No finishing caps are needed for the Silverado 1500 ZR2. Check out the nylon offset Gatorback flaps for the ZR2 trucks. Part number GCN209K-ZR2A. They have a more aggressive look and really add to the off-road look of the ZR2!
Hello....these Gaterback No-Drill mud flaps "do" call out a drill moter and 1/4" drill bit right there on their instructions....no clue why Gaterback promotes them as 'no drill'.....but these are a heavy quality flap!!
Thank you. This is a well put together video that answers my questions specifically and for you having them side-by-side and handling them made the difference.
Thanks for a great video As I did not know that the end gate was to be closed first before snapping down the cover. No wonder I had dust and dirt inside Thanks Is there a way to adjust tightness side to side or is it just the Velcro for the tightness?
just be careful on the sheets you are using for the slot cut outs. it is 5mins as noted, but the Video uses a 'front' flap template over a rear flap. The 3 slots are the front's. My rears had 6 slots and their own template. He's just showing the ease of cuts I assume). Best advice is take time and review your sheet in detail. check 2x , cut 1x.
This only fits in 2020 silverados with certain trim levels. They make no mention of it and make it sound like it will fit when it won't fit in about half of the trucks.
have you ever seen the 1/2 sized EXxtreme for Tundra? I'm torn between full and half for new Tundra. 1/2 convenient but full might be more secure (less space to access for crooks).
*Great cover for the price. **do7.pl/TXCover** This is the same cover as the OEM Ford accessory, just without the Ford logo, and has a better warranty to boot! Great fit and quality, and very easy to install. Just takes a bit to get it adjusted just right. This cover DOES work with the remote release tail gate as well. I read a few reviews from here, and other places where it was said it would not. You have to place the assembly a little farther forward so the rear seal does not sit atop the tail gate, just rests along the forward edge, and you are good to go. With the cover adjusted forward some, I still haven't seen any water leak in. I've waited to write this review until I could test the cover in the rain and car wash, and have had no problems with leaking. Cannot beat this cover for the price!*
I'm having this issue you are saying with the seal, could I get your Instagram so I could see pics of how yours sits more forward to get the seal to clear? Mine sits above the tailgate which I knew wasn't correct.
Did they change these covers up?... I just bought one for my brand new ram and it doesn't have those 2 holes in the front of the rails with the screws that go down inside the risk on each side?!? I'm confused
