I have only sailed Carnival for my 24 cruises. I am currently Echo, so I can book practically any cruise with that offer. I have 3 echo offers left that need to be booked by the end of the month. I’m not sure if I will get my Echo renewed for next year with all the cutbacks they have done. I never have a problem getting comps onboard. The first night I go to the casino host and tell them what I want and get it booked before all the decent times are taken. I’ve only had one host give me a hassle about booking early and I quickly told her to go check her computer for my past play. She came back and gave me what I asked for. I can guarantee that if my Echo status is not renewed, I will be looking into status match with other cruise lines. I hate chasing offers. Better to know ahead of time what you can earn.
Seems like the casino play has been reduced as well, also seems like first time cruisers and gamblers are getting a free cabin, i guess they are trying to anticize them.
Thanks for all the info CoC. They are changing the offers as far as frinks for 2 all over the ship. Now its for the cruiser and not the companion. And yes the amount of cruises have teally dropped out of Galveston. Just sucks. We just turned Platinum, so of course they would start cutting back. Sucks!!
I was on the Carnival Dream back in July and built up over 20,000 points & received nothing I reached out before I left and they told me that they would send me some good comps They were ok, but nowhere near what I expected after spending over $5k
We are done with Carnival, we started cruising on RCC 3 years ago, we have paid full price for one cruise on RCC and all the rest have been casino offers with only port taxes and fees. We have made it to Diamond with only paying full price.
I thought I was missing something, my offers just disappeared. I have been cruising on other ships lately. Feel free to contact me I would be happy to help you get comps on MSC, Royal, Celebrity, Virgin or Margaritaville at Sea.
I literally just looked into booking a Royal Caribbean cruise for the first time in almost 20yrs. I have been loyal to Carnival, and have only cruised with Norwegian twice and RC once because Carnival seemed to care about my loyalty. However, it seems that Carnival has forgotten that its loyal customers are who sustained them these past years. I think more and more people are going to be looking into other cruise lines like I did and RC is going a great job getting my attention.
I've only taken them up on one Steakhouse offer on the Conquest. I went earlier and ended being the only one in there. Do later times get more busy I wonder?
I usually play just one table game and video slots but managed to get a high point total on my last cruise. I noticed a decrease as well in offers and have already booked 2 cruises in 2025. I am wondering how you are approaching Princess? Do you ask to speak to Casino only and how long does it take for them to respond. I sail Carnival like so many because of the offers.
You can submit for a match request with any current casino offer you have with Carnival through this link: princess.medallionclassmarket.com/casinooffer I was contacted via email fairly quickly with a rep and an offer.
Las Vegas has plenty to do on and off the strip. If you’re staying on the strip, you have museums, shows, aquarium, exhibitions events, and can be picked up for excursions right at your hotel. You have arcades, coaster rides and you can watch people just like on a cruise. Now food, it’s so many budget friendly options around the strip. I used my comps and stay in Vegas plus my resort credit for food.
We get free cruise offers from the casino for NCL, MSC, and Princess. We used to get RCCL but they stopped. We have noticed a reduction in choices of free cruises but so far the offers are still coming 😊
Was told thos last night by a host on carnival. Tgeyve already changed as of july 1st...no booking solo on offers. I now have to pay double and higger cost. When i finish up the 55 i booked after covid, im jumping cruise lines. Carnival is NOT worth the money. Food got WORSE..not better like they claim.
Yeah, been seeing that a lot on social media and in the comments section here. I don't really care about the room type too much but the drinks and fun play are a big deal to me. Thanks for the comment!
So in Feb 2024 I sailed on first DOU in casino offer, from that I received bounce back offer of DOUE for 2 offers, I booked , 1 new offer 3 in cabin, and 2 new offers for 2025. Then I received DOUE for 1 offer, it was available for a cruise I’d previously booked at full price, nothing free, interior cabin TBA, I was able to convert that 10 day to ocean view, DOUE for me only. All my current offers are $200 rooms, onboard refund $200, but just my drinks. On my august cruise, it took 7000 points to earn $80 credit at Bonsai sushi.
Just got off Mardi Gra's and I asked about they steak house and she said 6000 points apiece. There's way to many land casinos now to waste your money on carnival cruise lines. They want to treat me bad after I have spent a few thousand oh well ill at on land I feel like you can win a lot more anyway.
I don’t trust the automatic card shufflers on Carnival anymore. I sat down at the three card poker table on my last cruise and bought in for $200. I had lost all of it in twenty minutes. I never won a hand. In fact only one person at the table won a single hand and the casino took almost all of the players money in that twenty minutes. We all got up and walked away while telling the pit boss the game is rigged and we won’t be back.
We also cruise about 5 times a year on casino offers. Last year we were getting $1000 free play and free balcony, but free drinks only in casino, not everywhere. Did this in May, September and next month. All were booked in 2023. Next years bookings all have free drinks everywhere, but either no free play or $200 if I booked free balcony offer. To get $500 free play, I had to use free ocean view offer which I then upgraded to balcony. Had not heard of changes to comps before getting on the ship in September. Having to ask for comps seems to be dependent on ship and/or staff. Mardi Gras casino staff never comes around. Have always had to go to the desk. On the Vista in May they were passing out vouchers on the second day of the cruise. We then got additional comp when we hit 10,000 points. On other occasions, we have had them approach us and say that they still owed us comps, and what would we like. After watching your video last night, I checked our offers today. What I saw looked better than what I was seeing a month ago. We actually have several different offers with $500 free play, free balcony and free drinks everywhere. Found something for Jan. 2026 that I will probably book.
I’ve had casino deals for the past DECADE! Consistent ! And I’ve cruised a minimum of 3 times per year for the past 3 years ….. I spent an UNGODLY amount of money and time in the casino and this go around for offers I got DICK! NOTHING! I’m so beyond pissed! I will quit carnival in a heartbeat - and I’m PLATINUM ! No deals - NO GO! And yeah I know they could care less but oh well ….
Absolutely disappointed with Carnival Casino changes. With 85 Carnival cruises, my last cruise, also on the Valor, was a total mess. Bottom line is, I don't beg for comps at casinos but was turned down last cruise. The new system is an insult especially to loyal players. I, too, will continue to just use my offers, but will start checking other cruise lines. I understand that it's a business but let's face it, casinos don't lose money. Also cutting the drinks to just one person is ridiculous. I did make all these remarks on my after cruise survey. Shame on Carnival
My experience on the Valor was less than stellar as well. Having been on the Conquest several times and the Valor being a sister ship, I couldn't understand why they didn't utilize the same layout. Casino is just way to crammed with very little options for someone like me that enjoys 3-reel machines.
I agree with you 100%. I don’t understand why Carnival cannot be transparent about their point system and how they generate comps. We too experienced this on our last carnival cruise and our comps have been going down in quality as well. Our plan moving forward for now is to still gamble on carnival ships, but will most likely keep any wins We get instead of worrying about what points we may or may not have. If the slot play were to get any worse, we’ll just go to our local casino here on land. Or like you go give Royal Caribbean a try or or celebrity .Carnival may be a business, but we the customers still have choices.
Just got off of Princess Alaska cruise. Was our first cruise but was fairly certain would get a free cruise based on other people who saw me gambling. All I got was $300 FP. My buddy who always got free offers... got a bottle of wine. lol. no free cruise, no wine. Kind of let down.
Yes, that's disappointing to hear. I would still keep a look out for future offers though. I've found that immediate offers, if any at all, are usually not all that great.
It's such a shame that they don't offer cruises for casino play here in Australia. Although we was given $100 casino play money on each of our next 2 p, & o Australia Cruises after taking 2 previous cruises with them, so thats pretty cool ❤
I didn't know they don't offer casino comps for cruises for you guys in Australia. Do you happen to know why? Also, a viewer from Australia blows my mind! Thanks so much for watching!
@@cruisingoncomps from what i have heard no sadly we dont get offered anything like a cheaper cruise here in australia, not sure of the reason why sorry...... yes im from tasmania austrakia and recently suscribed to your channel. nice to be onboard :)
as you stated, a big reason for reductions in offers is due to the fact that cruises are getting filled up more with passengers paying full fares. My experience is with RCCL and they are reducing the number of offers and restricting a lot of the offers to shorter cruises.
Yeah, I think that's probably what it all boils down too. I'd love to have access to the numbers in a year to see how much casino revenue they lose with these changes though. I'm thinking it will be more significant than they are counting on.
I lost all my "free" cruise, got a bunch of discounted ones though. I have a Celebrations cruise coming up next month. I'm honestly not sure how to handle the casino on this coming trip now..
I have one coming up in December on the Sunrise and I'm facing the same decision. Not sure what I'll do but it'll be heavily influenced by my offers at the beginning of November. Either way, good luck and enjoy the cruise!
I cruise using casino offers on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess ,Celebrity and Holland America. Carnival casinos are the liveliest. Guests pump a lot in those machines. With Carnival offers including freeplay declining I've been doing most of my casino bookings with their competitors. The cruising experience and the food is much better and the itineraries are worldwide.
I'm looking forward to exploring other lines for sure. It was just too hard for me to pass up the value on the offers I've been getting from Carnival but if that goes away I'm going to look for the best bang for my buck for sure.
@@cruisingoncomps The other lines are just as generous once you've established yourself with them. Celebrity takes no deposit. You just pay taxes and port fees.
Yes, they are full of shit. Got off Celebration Sunday and I'm mad at the hosts bc I just didn't feel like they were very good. My husband was given dinner for 2 at 2k points, but when I went to the host a day later at 4k points they told me to come back at 7k points. Went back at 7k points and they told me I only earned $50 (dinner comp for 1). They didn't seem to go out on the floor to tell people they earned comps. Granted it was an Elite cruise, so they were busy running the Elite raffles and promos, but mostly they were just at the casino host desk together telling people about all the things they WEREN'T getting. My husband and I both lost ALL offers September 10, and all were DOUE, multiple Premier and all free balcony offers. Last week we got ONE offer, that was identical $50 off a cruise. We BARELY even book Carnival so we are going to remain loyal to Royal where transparency exists for comps. He's Signature and I'll be Signature on our next cruise in a few weeks. Not about to play these games with Carnival, especially when you have to pay more out of pocket just to book casino comps and more they are trying to keep us from getting our OBC back as cash in the casino, AND they SILENTLY split the taxes and port fees into 2 different line items so if you cancel a casino booking you only get ONE refunded, not both, so you lose the deposit PLUS a portion of the taxes and fees. All other cruise lines that you only pay the taxes and fees to book refund 100% off you cancel bc that's ALL you paid.
I have 2 cruise a month for 4 months,m on 4 different lines, Celebrity, Carnival, MSC, and RC. Plan to check out the casinos on each but the only one transparent about casino rewards is RC which makes me want to spend more money there.
I can tell you for a fact that I get comped much more on carnival than I ever do on Royal Caribbean and I play in the casino just as much on both and I met the same level on both
Yea, Carnival offers have gone down hill. I just booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean for the first time. Heck, it was cheaper than Carnival. We will see how it goes.
My new offers now only include drinks for 1 instead of myself and my guest. That is a huge change that may sway me. We spend Thousands in the casino so technically we spend a lot more than the purchase of the drink package. It's a nice perk..
That is so true sailed on 4-night Carnival breeze September 5 got 10000 plus points and could not even get a free steak. That many points is close to 2000.00. That money could have been a deposit for Royal Caribbean.
cruising next week on the Firenze, This will be our 12th cruise with carnival the previous 11 have been a balcony cabin with drinks included but this cruise will be my first in a suite. Maybe i went a little crazy on our last cruise but my offers have gotten better but now im also getting Elite offers.
On Carnival Freedom now & let me tell you…on a 5day cruise playing slots only after earning 13k points…no wins…they only offer a steakhouse dinner after 12k points!!! That’s insane!!! Also, you will need to earn 2k points to earn drinks while playing in the casino…
I just got off the Celebration a week ago. A 7 night cruise it was only 2000 points for drinks in the casino. They paid for dinner in Rudy’s for my husband, brother sister in law and myself. Walked off with a free offer for a balcony room with drinks all over the ship. The exact offer I was on for this cruise. My next booking is already for the Mardi Gras for March. An elite. Where they pay for everything! Carnival has always treated me good.
