Hello RU-vid. My name is Bryce and I make videos all about History that interests me and maybe you guys too. Anyway what I'm getting at is that I would love to sit down with you guys and share what I've learned with you guys.
This is also known as Hadji Wilhelm , he turned to Muslim, because he was the partner of Enver Pasha. Also he has fountain in Istanbul, Turkey. He loves the Ottoman Empire.
Queen Victoria wrote about a young Wilhelm in her diary, stating "he is a good little boy." When WWI broke out, Wilhelm said "if our grandmother were alive, she never would have allowed it."
I have been obsessed with the Romanov family since I was 16 years old and at school (I came across an article in Reader's Digest about their brutal murder and how they eventually found the bodies and I read it and I was hooked) then I read "Nicholas and Alexandra" by the late, great Robert K Massie and got quite attached to the family (I think that's the best way to describe it anyway!) and after I left school at 18 there seemed to be alot of new books 📚 coming out at that time about them so I've got quite a Romanov family books 📚 library going now and it's still growing! I have been to Russia 🇷🇺 three times (St Petersburg, Moscow, Tobolsk and Yekaterinburg) and saw lots of things there. I know people argue 🙄 about which of the sisters was the most beautiful and I think it was equally Olga and Tatiana but for different reasons, I know everyone else has their favourite but they're mine. I really enjoyed this video.
I became his fan as a Turkish because I always wanted to know wbo would visit Ottoman Empire 3 times and visit everywhere in Istanbul , Damascus , Bagdat , Jerusalem and many more. I never knew he was exiled to the Netherlands. I thought he passed away somewhere in Germany like Bismarck. I have visited his house in Netherlands and saw so many different gifts he was given when he was in Istanbul. Ottoman carpets laying around everywhere , Ottoman insignias , matches etc not only that many many collections from different cultures. Now to me Prussia is different , Third Reich is different and todays Germany is different stories. Only common thing is language ! I am also devoted life time member of his house museum
He was very fond of the ottomans, which is why relations between the two were great. Also, I believe there was a Monument made for him in Istanbul in his honor
