In October 2021 we decided to leave our home and careers behind in pursuit of our version of the American Dream. We flew to the Caribbean and moved onboard our new sailboat, a Lagoon 440, we lovingly call S/V Tootsie Marie.
Catch up with us onboard as we explore Islands in the Bahamas and Caribbean or travel the USA in our RV, a Safari Trek, called Goldilocks. We are grateful to live this lifestyle as we explore beautiful new places.
Welcome back to St Martin. You mentioned about lumber at the hardware store... what did you need? 2x4's? Also, what happened to the old washer? 2 years doesn't seem like a long time?
Luckily this time we didn’t need any lumber. We were just making it known. I guess the drum bearings didn’t like the salty air or being constantly sloshed around underway🤷🏻♂️. The new one seems like it has a higher build quality so hopefully it will last longer. Hope you guys are doing ok.
imagine what it was like pulling anchor in the 1700's without any of the nav aids we have today, and doing it at 3am with the tide. tasty fish siobhan loves them

Caught a huge rainbow at Clear lake that broke my pole years ago. I don't think they come that big anymore. Too much pressure. Looked like fun playing the tarpon.
Was in DR back in 2018. Beautiful beaches, but the bay we were in was heavily polluted by massive rainfalls a week earlier. Water was muddy from all of the discharge from the mountains around us, and lots of debris.
