"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.". We share as we live, Native Indigenous win one hreat battle, the new citizens will to be countrymen, therefore Native, born, native bornthen, to be part of the whole, the included Native indigenous. Many parts to make the qhole, circle of life, in the Nation. 🌹🌀🌐. Those who mirror the Watrior Cry Chant, only should reflect to practice, for this os the shared cry of the Americas and Americans, by the landsharing of time.
Many Native Americans didn't allow for their portrait painted or px taken, fearing they'd lose part of their soul. There is truth to this. We owe a debt of gratitude to those who had their px taken that we might remember them. Especially when the US violated every treaty imposed upon them. Cf books by James Welch, Peter Matthiessen. With special mention: Neither Wolf nor Dog by Kent Nerburn. Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce, also by Kent Nerburn
Thank You very, very much for this powerfully beautiful gallery of the owners of this land. We all need to acknowledge and remember that we live on Native American land. The US needs to formally return ownership and pay rent for the occupation. Their sovereignty and way of life needs to be respected and honored. And yet, state governors still covertly engage in divide and conquer.
I'm from Brazil, great-grandson of a real Indian, he was Pajé, his name was Joaquin Leite... American Indians look like many of my relatives and acquaintances.
Here in Brazil there is a state made up only of Indians, it's called Manaus=manauara-here in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil there are thousands of mestizos, including me, half white, half Indian.
like everywhere in this world, Europeans came, saw and taken over, pushing natives in to reservations and making new laws by taking over their livelyhoods, which calls GOVERNMENTS and charging everything and everybody big money on that stolen land, incredible isn'it, with the loss of these tribes, we lost a great knowledge
Just for your knowledge, because most blk people are slow, uneducated and hate their own heritage , native Americans skin color became brown due to sun exposure. They are tanned. They are not black or African. This should be common sense but you know, most negas lack that.
I am Old World Scottish, settled in Alabama on one side (paternal) and New World (S.C.) Appalachian Cherokee on the other (maternal)! Love both sides and they loved and embraced each other. Love always finds a way. Thanks again.
Wow thank you for sharing it was kind of like a Magic Time Machine the color really brought it to life and I loved the native song and music most excellent
While I’m commenting over a year after this photo’s were posted it’s time to stop calling Native Americans “Indians” The name “Indians” was given because Columbus thought he was going to India and it makes them a foreigner in their own country. They’re not Indians, have never been Indians they’re Americans! We’re Europeans!
Too bad the very same white people, same ones who terrorized your kind with cross burnings and destroyed black wall street, have indigenous ancestry that goes back to colonialism, and they're not related to your kind
I prefer the black & white photo versions of the magikal stoic native peoples. Gives them a regal realistic resonance. The color enhancements look cartoonish & take away their stoic saged essence.
Amazing! I have always been proud of my American Indian heritage. My best friend of 50 years was Jean Black Elk great granddaughter of Black Elk. I miss her so much. Thank you for the journey.
