We simply love being outdoors. We are Scott & Ariane and we have this nomadic idea to backpack in all 50 states all while living in a 1976 vintage Airstream. We love the RV life and finding new places to hike and backpack in. We are also Co-Host's of Trust The Trail Podcast sharing our lifestyle with you and inspiring you to hit the trail. AND you are always welcome to come along on a trip with us.
@@ThisNomadicIdea i hv two story house, with ac in back bedroom i run the ac at night to help sleep, noise and air to breath heat rises in the house i am able to get the room down to 67! then it switches to fan thats how i roll
Funny,he said,$60 bux a month for running ac in rv park. WOW thats pretty cheap. In heat like that,no problem, thats very fair! RV parks are usually near work,as well. NO Problem!
All prices are going up. Q is being bought by corporations. Locals are being kicked out, or forced out to make room for visitors. When visitors show up locals can not use there cells. Can not get into drs. Can not get prescriptions filled easily. Can not get food. Can not get on bus for out of town dr. because it becomes Walmart express. Scadden wash is dangerous. O sure use the library! Another thing we can’t use because you’re all over the floor.
Leave me out. I don't drink don't smoke. Don't have ATV. No motorcycle. Have food for 5 month. I will get the free water though and fuel at the pilot before heading to Yuma after RTR. I will need to find parking some where in Yuma area to camp. I figure i would check out Algadones, MX go in get a xray to see how they can do about my teeth. Than get an appoinmet to come back later in the year to start work on my teeth. I have minivan camper.find out about what i can do to make it more livable. Stick around the area until it get to hot for me and head up to grand canyon for 14 days than head to leadsville Co. Go hicking. At least that the plan for now. Its probably not going to be easy to meet Bob Wells since is going to be swamp already. I am really looking forward to this trip. It will be my first trip outside of Texas since 2008. I hope to make a few new friens. I am ciming excited and a positive attitued. Maybe we will cross paths? Who knows. See you down the road.
Being a weekend warrior RV'r myself I never understood the witch hunt for cheap restaurants . Most of us like myself have "Kitchens" in our rig that includes refrigerators. I always opt to cook my own meals in my RV over dining out. Most my meals are high quality foods at under 8 dollars a serving sometimes only 4 dollars, such as hotdogs and hamburgers. And when the fish are biting the cost is ZERO !!
There’s actually lots of hiking and other stuff to do. LaPaz County has a desert golf course very close to Q. Bonfires, Live music. Up to you to create your lifestyle in the Q. Not to mention a ton of Vendors selling everything.
Great question. It has a ballcock like a toilet so you can attach a water hose to it. Or just fill it manually. Yes, it’s a challenge in the desert. But we plan for a auxiliary water bladder with an additional 12 volt pump.
WRONG!!! The desert bar is only open for 6 hours a day 2 days a week. That's 12 hours out of 168. This guy clearly is trying to get you to go somewhere without any context or facts. That's really disturbing.
LOL! You're in the same campsite I was in last August! If the campsites are all full in all three campgrounds and you have a 4X4 and are self contained, you can head across the river up from the Tullula campground and take Charlie's Creek Road and boondock up that road. There is a sign at the crossing that says something like "don't park in the river".
I know isnt fair to say but I’ from Seattle WA and none of this looks appealing… The lakes seem like ponds and where are the big grand trees?!? I really wanted to find Forrest camping but it’s leaving little to be desired. Please do yourself a favor give Washington State 1 x in your life. You will never regret, you will be awe inspired truly… Thanks for sharing
I am from Illinois and camp a lot, it does INDEED have forest camping, there are many primitive sites that are free in the Shawnee National Forest which is further down in Illinois like stated in the video. Starved rock is the most populated state park because its close to the city. My favorite Forest primitive campsite is by Jackson Falls which is 1st come 1st serve basis in the Shawnee Forest. I suggest traveling to OTHER parts of Shawnee National Forest, its pretty big, go by Jackson Falls and Burden Falls which is the states highest waterfall. Most campgrounds are primitive and 1st come , 1 served basis and costs only about 5 or 8 bucks a night but you can find free sites. There is Garden of Gods, Dixon Springs etc so much free camping.
I live in a small town in southern Nevada and it works better here than it did in modesto California but I filter the water going in cooler help build up
Editing one now. We had to take break (or revaluate) the BS on YT and if we wanted to keep posting. Plus we anchored down in Yellowstone for 2 years with barely any Internet. -:)
I have never been to Quartsight. All the videos are negative. Glad to hear a good one. I would still pondering on going there. We are not snowbirds and pass through parks to get to where we need to go.
2000 watts of roof solar (self installed), and 600 watts of portable with a Bluetti AC300 with 4 B300 batteries (12,228 watt/hours) with transfer switches for both ac and dc. It's simple math.
Wish all youtubers would start conveying what "clientele" frequent certain areas...such as older people, younger people with family, known drug/drinking/partying areas, areas known to be watched closely by police. Who wants to unknowingly pull into a spot that doesn't at least try to live up to your own standards/safety concerns?
To be honest and straight forward. There really no real clientele. You have every single type of RVer, Nomad, and Vanlifer who comes to Q. There are FB Quartzsite Groups that have events based on different groups and similar interest. If you’re alone, I totally get how it can be overwhelming and intimidating. If you feel uncomfortable in a spot simply move to another. Q is a big place. Best advice is to find groups (meetup.com) or FB and introduce yourself. You will find your people. -:)
