You need to hold position for 10 turns. Go defensive. Re-examine your economic buildings and build balanced armies. Then you can steamroll. You also need to give everywhere time to build pop so u can replenish and recruit everywhere freely for the next stage of invasions. I actually started my own legendary carthage campaign because yours looked so fun. Turn 133 and iv got all of African bordering with egypt and most of iberia with the Editani and Arverni as allies. About to invade sicily after liberating Sparta to give me 2 roman fronts. And holding against the iceni in the north of Iberia. But the base all comes from and commerce driven Africa. The bread basket is spread around so as to not be affected to much by any losses. Anyway great campaign, keep it rolling. Bal Hamon be praised
Nice episode!! Keep improving economy and invest in the two navies with more ships. You need absolute naval dominance to invade Sicily and Magna Grecia. I like to liberate cities in Magna Grecia in order to create free enemies for Rome…
Also look to upgrade the two cities so they can defend themselves from pirates and free up the armies! You will need them in Sicily when the Rome will bring the doom stacks 😜
Wow that is complete turn around. This episode. From looking completely lost to controling most of north-west Africa. Good for you. The only problem is that Romans are getting stronger with time. By the time you get to fight them in Italy , they'll probably be Marian reformed by then :D
I like the videooo! Youre using your skirmishers wrong, dont let your any unit go against the enemy pike, keep them move a little bit and let the skirmishes go around to pierce them. Use your cavalry to wipe all enemy missile units so that your skirmishers can focus going around, they have good movement unlike the enemy pikes... you can use your archers to fire flame arrows to the enemy heavy units or generals.
You should take your armies out of your cities and put them on patrol to help with public order also use the skills of your generals wifes to help and dignitaries
I like the plan to loot Akragas with the fleet all that money can be used to improve your armies and great move to research the mercenary contracts Carthage has bonuses about mercenaries you should build the mercenary barracks because your best troops comes from that barrack and you should acquire by trade or by force the gold resource maybe trade with the Arverni. You need gold to build your best mercenaries units ❤❤❤
Just an advice don't keep the armies inside the cities because the give negative po keep them just outside in patrol stance so the can help with po and they will reinforce the city in an event of an attack... and sometimes in dei it will not show that the army is replenishing but if you end turn you will see that the army is replenished.... it's something like a bug... keep up this is the most awesome campaign I have ever seen!
We did! I am sorry, we decided it got to a point where things just weren’t as interesting anymore compared to the campaign in Carthage, which is still in full swing
bro.. i even struggle vh/h in this mod. how you can manage play on legendary/legendary? battles are damn nightmare even on very hard. i started with syracuse i lack manpower always… even i never do auto battle to lower my casualities
I played for a few hours, to me it still just doesn’t have the same emotional depth as the other titles have for some reason.. but who knows! Maybe in the future!

How about next campaign as Syracus? you don't have to play on legendary every time. Hard dificulty for Syracusa is good enough I think. But yeah, first win as Carthage! That's a good challenge right there!
Next campaign should be Carthage again, until you beat the Romans and occupy Italy. This one seems a lot of fun but too many mistakes at the beginning and it doesn't look win-able. Cheers
Use Dresden's Sack and liberate submod to be able to liberate any settlement that you take. Do liberate more to create trusty allies and buffer states so your borders are secure and you can concentrate on your main target.
The reason they all declare war on you is because they see you as an easy pray since the balance of power shifter greatly against you since you declared war on Selucids and all they satrapies, and you did this just to please Egypt - a strategic blunder. Try to have as few wars as possible. No matter how far the faction is DO not every declare war just to please any other faction. Cheers
4 month late reply, but the issue in the battle lost was the enemy missile troops. Their kill count (one with +300) speaks for itself. Need to neutralize their skirmishers ASAP so your phalanx can do its job in tight quarters. Otherwise they’re sitting ducks.
