RacingThePlanet's 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series is a collection of four, 250 kilometer, six stage footraces across the world's largest and most forbidding deserts including the Gobi March in Mongolia, the Namib Race in Namibia, the Atacama Crossing in Chile and The Last Desert in Antarctica.

In addition, there is a fifth race which takes place in a new country each year. The first RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon, titled RacingThePlanet: Vietnam, routed competitors through the rice terraces of Sapa in northwest Vietnam in 2008. Then came races in Namibia (2009), Australia (2010), Nepal (2011), Jordan (2012), Iceland (2013), Madagascar (2014), Ecuador (2015), Sri Lanka (2016), Patagonia (2017), New Zealand (2019), Georgia (2021) and Lapland (2022).

In 2021, RacingThePlanet introduced a book titled "More Than A Race: The RacingThePlanet Story." In 2023, RacingThePlanet will celebrate its 20-year anniversary.
