Thank you for the video! I am having my left eye done next week and the right the week after, in the USA. There were a ton of xtra cost options, but I stayed with the standard procedure (covered by insurance and medicare 80-20, while the optional lenses are not) Out of pocket should be about $1000 USD. Like the others...scared to death..but looking forward to better vision.
Why do they say have it and not am it? And they are the supposed professionals. It seems inherently patronising. I'd say it is something "I am" and proud of it. You can't be ashamed or afraid of yourself
I developed a cataract in the left eye from long term use of predforte eyedrops because I get Uveitis from having Ankylosing Spondylitis, I go in April to get it removed but I won't deny I feel sick in the stomach if I think about it, I shouldn't, I've had a bypass and two heart attacks and got through those, I guess I'm just sick and tired of having to be in the hospital for some sort of procedure or operation. I hope I'm ok on the day.
Getting surgery tomorrow in the States, comforting to see so many positive comments. Just an observation but it’s odd to see the nurse NOT wearing gloves lol Wish I had extra money to fix my vision as well. 3000$ per eye here so 6,000 but happy to be able to see again even with glasses
