Honestly my modlist is so huge and varied because I only manual install and a lot of my graphics mods are piecemealed together from different mods. For my reshade I use Reshade.me and these postprocessing shaders modding-openmw.gitlab.io/momw-post-processing-pack/
okay i know i got a ton of mods and i know im running normals and big textures and all this stuff... but i kinda expected a 3080 ti to run balmora better than 30 fps ... sometimes it dips down to 20 as well. im guessing its cpu related.
That doesn't sound right, did you try using all of these settings in your cfg? Also did you try editing you Nvidia control panel? And what kind of a monitor are you using?
@@MyM0RR0WIND i followed your tutorial completely and i saw some improvement but i went from like 10 fps to 40 fps... im not using a proper moniter, i use a lcd tv without gaming tech its from probably 2010 or so... so that is a problem, it does get 60hz however. i do plan to upgrade when i can afford it but thats probably pretty far off... the thing that is confusing to me is i can play games like ghostrunner and red dead redemption 2 on absolute max settings with GREAT frame rate... the other thing im thinking might be problemactic specifically for morrowind heavily modded. might be my thread ripper 1900x ... which is great for certain appications and certain games however some seem to not do so well on it. another thing i plan on upgrading when i can afford to do so but that will prolly be long after i am able to get a moniter.
@@acrock21 I can tell you right now it is most definately your TV! I tried playing mine on my 60hz SMART TV also and those things just don't work well with PC games. You have to get a better monitor for PC gaming. I have a 165hz gsync monitor.
@@MyM0RR0WIND yea i understand that but what if the tv is a 240hz they make them with gaming tech. Mine atm is an old piece of junk thats a given. Im very much into all in one systems and i dont sit at a desk, i also use a racing sim. In looking at the tcl qm851g … it does 1080p at 240hz with game acceleration… 4k at 144hz… im not sure about gsync it certaintly had amdfreesync tech i asked someone about the last gen which was similar tech and they said it worked well with the nvidia tech… so im not sure still looking into it.
@@acrock21 Ok, did you try with freesync enabled/disabled while enabling/disabling vsync? Some combination of either of those might help, but I don't think SMART TV's work well with PC's in any case. Also, is your hdmi cable actually plugged into your graphics card port on the back of your PC or are you possibly using your PC integrated graphics??
When you turned off the curves setting briefly i could see well but this looks super dark to me like probably 30% of the screen is near black at 7:55 for example
Cool. I've been following a bunch of van dwellers and shaking my head at how much they try to hide the fact that they live in a van by trying to make it look like a house on the inside. All the wood and heavy cabinets? Expensive and certainly a factor in how much heavier the van is going to be. We can afford a van at this point but intend to piece it out on the inside as we go, deciding what is actually necessary rather than trying to have a tiny house.
"you will own nothing and you will be happy." van life influencers that have promoted the trend of refusing to buy and own property by showing how quirky and fun the van life is, are a deliberate attempt to eliminate home ownership by the new generation. I'm not saying you're an influencer with 72 subscribers, but 30 years ago, living in a van is seen as extreme poverty. Now it's a quirky lifestyle choice promoted on tiktok and all the other brain rot apps pushed at children and young adults. The millions of inwaders (i can't spell the real word without my comment being shadowbanned) flooding into the country sure aren't living in vans, they get rent subsidized by actual taxpayers. Look at NYC housing them. We are being replaced. Demographically.

Idk about being replaced for demographic reasons, maybe being replaced by people ignorant enough to fall victim to paying a mortgage/rent and property taxes on top of that maybe... But that's what the vanlife movement is all about, the American dream is dead, it has been for a long time. No one really owns their land anymore, and the return on investment is negligible. The housing market can crash just like anything else. Vanlife provides the opportunity for real freedom. That's why I do it.
@@MyM0RR0WIND you don't have to pay property tax on your van? You don't have to renew the registration yearly? You aren't required to spend $1000+ a year on insurance? Since you pay taxes and insurance on van ownership, couldn't it be construed no one really owns their vehicles anymore?
@@sygos Insurance provides a service in the form of coverage in the event of an accident. Home taxes don't provide anything other than your house NOT being taken from you. Paying registration is a good point, although it is only $50 a year. But these are good points and why people should boycott voting for politicians. I would seriously advocate to get rid of the IRS.

I love everything about it. I wouldn't do anything differently! Once you learn how to balance everything, you do everything less. Commute less, pay less, stress less.
I've always found vanlife to be interesting. You gain a lot of freedom and flexibility but it's also complicated to balance parking spots / heating / cooling / water / income and so on.
I live in a notoriously hot/humid region, especially during the summer. However, I don't have A/C! If you notice I just have one big fan that blows and two little HVAC fans that suck the hot air out and I sleep comfortably at night. All you have to do is live close to work.
I’m curious how you keep the PC running is it on the portable battery thing? Or is it through another battery in your van. That stuff always confused me about van life.
I have an issue with openmw. When I'm walking around, my fps is capped at 144fps for a little, then it will go down to 139fps and then the game will freeze for a millisecond and my cpu temps will spike from low 50c to 68c by just walking around. Why does this happen? And does this happen to anyone else? I assumed this was due to loading cells or something.. but I am not so sure.. I would also like to mention i dont have any ground cover mods and my distant land is set to 3.55 and i have everything else off. Also, my openmw version is 0.47.

I actually like Morrowind's 'dice roll' dungeon and dragons style combat but I don't like the chop slash thrust system or at least the way it was implemented in the game. I think Daggerfall implemented it better where you could swing in different directions with your mouse. However in Morrowind you have to move in certain directions to preform chops, slash or thrust attacks. The animations for those attacks also look pretty blocky (almost like Minecraft) It feels clumsy to use and I always just play with 'Always Use Best Attack'. Morrowind's combat has a lack of melee combat feed back indicating a failed swing. However that said, Skyrims combat is barley that much of an improvement, in fact in some ways it is actually worse. It is also even worse then Oblivions combat. Skyrims melee combat is actually more tedious then Morrowind or Oblivions combat that everyone just plays Skyrim as a Stealth Archer anyway because that is the only way Skyrim can be somewhat enjoyable. Morrowind, despite it's barebones combat is actually quite an impressively detailed and fantastic game in other areas.
Ive broken down the pro's to all the combat systems in Morrowind, Oblivion, And Skyrim. This is actually something I thought of a lot, and each combat system has its pros. Keep in mind that some combat systems are restricted because of the game engine they were built in *cough cough* Skyrim. But anyways heres the pros of each one Morrowind: Can become god, custom spell crafting, superman-like abilities, skooma, and spears. Can also use a 2 handed, a shield, and magic simultaneously. Oblivion: Can use a One handed sword, a shield, and magic simultaneously. Goofier physics provide you with the benefit of launching enemies 100's of meters on occasion. Skyrim: One of the most limited, You can only use a sword, and a shield/magic/sword in offhand. The bow combat seems to be where the game outshines the rest, especially when considering if an enemy has arrows in their hide, and you bash them, the arrow damage gets thrown on top of bash damage. Unfortunately, with this game once you become powerful it basically just becomes a hack n slash with 24/7 execution scenes. Thats my contention of all 3 games.

I only manual install, and self taught on modding, so about a year. But that also has to do with the time it took to make them all compatible using the construction set because I don't use mlox. :)
I actually use your royal reshade with additional edits! Enhancing the colors and bluer sky. Also Zesterer’s water shader, and some post-processing effects for sun rays, lighting, and shadows.

For the millionth, billionth, TRILLIONTH time, you need to understand that the loading screens you're presented with during play are CPU-bound code that have fuck-all to do with the graphics API utilized by the engine.
