Dude, you started nicely telling that it's honestly a worthless investmentment for what I see you are on fjr 1st gen. Just bought this disappointment a day ago... I will make another review on it soon. 3 out of 5 at best.
Thanks for the clip. I'm thinking of trying a similar setup, but with the mic under the seat capturing the exhaust note. Do you foresee any issues with this? Does the microphone have an auto shut off after a period of inactivity? Can the mic be used while charging? The receiver is more accessible since it will be attached to the X3, mounted to my helmet. But I'm especially trying to avoid having to mess with anything under the seat while I'm in the middle of a ride. I'd appreciate it if you could share your insight.
I have not had the microphone shut off on me automatically due to inactivity. It will probably go until the battery dies, but that should be quite a while (perhaps longer than the X3). As for being able to use it while charging, I am not sure, but I think it will work - I know the receiver does. In fact, the receiver adapter allows you to also charge the X3 while also charging the receiver, all while in use. In fact, if you scrub forward to 8:08 on my video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gF-YOvyGIVQ.htmlsi=nCRBEN7C8TiIxOnS - you can see that arrangement. The nice thing is that the Movo is pretty affordable and I am really impressed with the sound quality. Give it a try and experiment a little. I am interested to hear your results. Good luck!
Nope, just opened up the cap on the reservoir allowing air into the system. with the cap still on it was like putting your finger on the end of the straw to prevent the liquid from flowing out.
Both my riding partner and I are charter members of the Iota Zeta chapter of Sigma Chi at Clarkson University. When we travel, if we find ourselves near another chapter house, we try to make time to stop in and visit.
