I've started demanding the truth from my relationships, platonic and romantic. If I find out one of my people has lied to me, I will confront them. If it doesn't change, I guess they weren't right for me. Though I think it is important to remember that for some people their lie becomes their truth, or that they interpret the truth differently. I do fear confronting people in this manner, but what I fear far more is living a life filled with lies! I hope people can appreciate the sarcasm in this video and learn something from it! I can see the sarcasm but I have to agree the part where you open up to others. I've been opening up my problems and feelings to others and they used it against me. I stopped telling them and it brought me peace. Only problem now is that I need to find someone to talk to and just listen to my problems. My guess most people don't want to and it's ok.
I totally get what you mean my friend, happened the same exact thing to me. And the solution is not to just close up (that leads to loneliness and lack of true connections) but rather, to find the right people with which to open up. Finding “your tribe” and cultivating the right relationships. It’s not easy, I know, but you can totally do it 💪🏻 and trust me, more people than you think are in your exact same situation. Everyone is looking for true connections, so it’s just a matter of time ;)

100% agree! Fear is actually a fundamental tool for basic survival, and we have to be grateful for it.. but at the same time if our actions are always fear-based, we’ll get in trouble ;) balance is always king
