That's awesome! Especially getting that snook on fly. Water clarity looked pretty good and the fish seemed to be in an agreeable mood for a change. Last time I was down there it was a struggle and a lot of silt. Looking forward to cooler weather to clean it up again.
@@JeffHammerFishing thanks Jeff ! Yea it’s been some months since I’ve been to the lagoon, was definitely nice to have some fish willing to play and clean water.. thinking of upgrading the gheenoe to a custom LT10 soon. So I may be without for a few months unfortunately.
@@Reeldrivenoutdoors If you can swing it, LT25 is the way to go. While an improvement over a highsider, the LT10 isn’t much bigger or stabler and has the same HP rating. However an LT25 is nearly as stable as most smaller conventional flats skiffs. I even have more storage capacity than my friend’s East Cape Caiman.
Thanks Jeff! I put in at ramp road in cocoa and fished around the islands, there’s a decent population of reds around there and other fish too, I will prob go back sometime
That was a fun day! Nice snook too. I agree with you on the 10" snapper...not enough meat there to make them worth cleaning unless you get a few of them.
Thanks Jeff!! The snapper was incredible, I had to cut out the last part of the video because i got a copyright block due to background music. It was probably some of the best fish I’ve had in years, I don’t usually keep fish especially reds/trout and other game fish but if I catch a keeper snapper or a flounder I will keep it haha. Once every 5 years or so I will try and find a slot snook to keep but to be honest it almost never happens and they end up being too short or too big.
@@therealalbladez that seems to be the name of the game lately, it seems the dirtier the water the better as the clear water fish are heavily pressured and very skiddish
Nice work gentlemen! Wish I could have been out there Sunday....but you know, Easter. Saturday I had the same scenario happen. Red nosed right down on the lure then took off without eating.
