www.yunshow.me Hi everyone, my name is Phillip Yun and I am the USA Taekwondo National Team Member for 2015. Welcome to the YUNSHOW! I am going to put up tutorials for Olympic Taekwondo Sparring and it's going to be the best one on RU-vid! Check out my Instagram and Facebook for some cool stuff too. Spread the word!
I was taking taekwondo for 4 years, but I did not intend to use that sport to go to the Olympics. However, I did some TKD sparring, and I know some Korean words regarding this art. "Sijak!" means "begin". "Baro" means stop. "Gam Jeon" is a penalty or warning. All bouts focus on the "Gibon Kyorugi" (free sparring) mentality, and the "hangul" - is PPE for the chest (chest protector) during the TKD fights.
Sir, thank you for keeping this clip online, was sharing with Mike Harper (88-95) while drinking Jim Beam and Coke in Lake George and his reaction was like “OMG who is this guy”… This is my go-to clip whenever the electronic scoring fighting style eludes my allure.
Looking for more info on how to improve the speed and application of the tornado (Norabong) kick. Have a powerful kick but it is not fluid for a sparring session. Thanks for the great videos....
This matches the way I learn! I learn way faster by breaking things down and having reasoning to start and then develop instinct vs instinct first then learning why. In the 2nd way I also end up developing bad habits that I then have to unlearn lol.
Thanks for sharing these tips. Interesting way of dealing cut kick. It would be so easy to grab that leg or sweep, cut kick just exist because of WTF TKD rules. I think it's a very bad habit to use this kick in a fight elsewhere.
i think tshomlee wins the match there are clean kick which are not counted for the Philippines. the match are manipulated thats why they change the pointing system because of this
That's why electronic hogu came in competition and destroyed everything. The fight is awesome and the fighters too but points distribution are bad.....
There is no skill or actual real self defense. I am almost embarrassed I train TKD. For me it is first about self-defense and way back second sport or competition.
