Thank you so much for sharing this most important topic! My husband and I were exposed through our HVAC system. Sometimes were so sick, it has been overwhelming and life changing on every level. Praying we can afford to remediate and live the rest of our lives in clean air and safe surroundings. NO help from our Insurance company at all.
Thank you, to your beautiful guest. I went to the Mayo 25 yrs ago due to not being able to walk & chronic sinusitis. They said I was fine I just had fibromyalgia which we all know now is directly related to mold in my home at the time. Now 25 yrs later newly built home mold which I never knew about 25 yrs ago. Here in nj I sought out 20 different places all I reacted to.

Interesting that Dr. Jills podcast (Resiliency Radio) yesterday mentioned she had a patient that died in his home the day he was scheduled to move out of his moldy house. One thing noticing... while yes dust is major factor, but the concentration of spores, off gasing if you will... is major alone without the dust, so, bottom-line, a person's home with the least amount of dust, still gets toxified and iLL. This needs to be emphasized, because there are those who deny the whole Mold-Dynamic, because they say "My House is Cleaned and Vacuumed everyday, it's not possible My Home is Unsafe or can even possibly have Mold."

I wonder if we ban together and really mend things, get to the core of it all.. if that will help heal the division with Mold toxicity, CFS, chronic illness in general. I personally am sensitized. It’s a terrible thing to experience, and to see your children suffering is even more terrible. Unfortunately, it’s only the wealthy who can combat it. To truly remediate a home costs a huge fortune. There’s a certain privilege that comes with wealth, and it’s your health. Those with lots of many will find the best doctors, the best remediators, those without pay the price.

Mold has ruined my life. Im traumatized and i rent so that worries me even more. Many people and some doctors are oblivious to this. I have had long covid and a pulmonary doctor sent me to infectious disease because i had mold in my lungs. I still feel its in my lungs after 3 months of antifungals. Gwenyth is very correct about what happens with mold. And mold is usually invisible.
So what do you suggest to clean and eliminate the spores??? What if you don’t see any black mold except for ac removed it. Saw blk mold there but evidence of spores is there. Explain please!

Then you tear your house down and build a new one in a different County. You also have to dispose of all of your belongings - because they are contaminated too.
You clean it with soap or vinegar, dry it well, find if there’s a source of water that could continue to create problems and deal with that. If no one in the house is sick, you clean the house thoroughly and continue your life. If someone is sick, then you call in We Inspect and find out what the real issues are.
Very informative and helpful as I am in the midst of of my mold nightmare and have been and still am being gaslit by friends, family and the numerous doctors I have seen over the past 9 years. Please keep getting the word out and thank you validating and for believing mold can be the root cause to many issues!
Great Interview ! I just threw away my old moldy down pillows and comforter and replaced them with polyester ones ! Now I am sleeping better ! Soon I'm going to buy an air purifier !
Ozone generator and/or UVC bulb, but these are both very dangerous and you want them to be operating when you are not in the space, especially the ultraviolet-c radiation. It does irreparable damage to DNA almost instantly. If you were exposed to it for minutes at a time, there would be almost no chance of you not getting some kind of cancer or something. Gases can penetrate the cracks that the liquid might not, because liquids will penetrate so far into the cracks and eventually just slow down with gravity. Gasses and light can resist gravity more and go into lateral and upward spaces against the flow of gravity. I like the idea of making your house out of natural materials in nature, and then making another one, making sure it's built well enough to live in, building another substitute shelter in case something happens to it and then burning the old one down in a controlled fashion.

I just hit a cluster of bumps in my family's mold recovery journey this week and it has me feeling a little lost and low. I cried so many times while listening to this... OMG! Do not EVER duct an outdoor supply into the return ductwork of your HVAC. It causes condensation in the return ductwork, ends up being dripping wet. A nightmare, good way to mess up all your ducts.
