Oh what a sermon! I wouldn't say I stumbled upon this by chance. It was the Holy Spirit led me to this. First time listening to this pastor, and I can say God is doing something great through him. On Christ the solid rock we stand all other ground is sinking sand. May God always bless and keep us close to himself. Amen!
Thanks for the video, however, you missed the second part of confession. First you confess sin, but then you move into confessing who you are in Christ. It's a massive part if you want to build yourself up in Christ. It's a great way to have a confident heart posture for moving into thanks and supplication. I hope this helps. Blessings.
In regards to the Spaffords they lost their only son in 1880 not 1871. He owned mostly undeveloped land some of which was outside the fire area, so it was the lack of investors post fire that negativly impacted his financis. They lost four daughters when the Ville du Havre sank in 1873. They were not going to England to help D. L. Moody. They were going to France then othet places in continental europe for a second Holiday. The ship that sank the SS Ville du Havre serviced the NY, Brest, Havre (France) rote. The Hymn itself was either written on board the SS Abyssinia at sea in 1873 or in 1876 in Chicago While Moody and co were staying with the Spaffords.
We must be born again! Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!! To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart! A really born again Christian has no future sins!!
