Thank you for sharing this powerful video. It's incredibly moving to see these moments from before such a tragic event. I can't imagine the pain of losing friends and colleagues in such a terrible disaster. Your strength and willingness to honor their memory after all these years is truly inspiring. My heart goes out to you and to all those who were affected by the events of 9/11. May we never forget. God bless you and all those who lost their lives.
This makes me wonder if anyone was actually randomly filming on the day of 9/11. We hear about how bad the conditions were, walls and floors falling, etc. It would be something else to actually see it. Surely it exists somewhere, probably in someones storage, too traumatic for them to look at so they never got it digitalized.
Everyone in the video seems so lively and such amazing people to be around! This footage probably meant nothing when it was taken but means alot and has alot of memories packed into here. Ive seen this footage everywhere knowing how much this means to history and the present. Its sad knowing all the tragedy that happened in that same building and i hope everyone that lost their lives rest in peace 🕊️❤️ and im sorry for their loved ones. Its good knowing mostly everyone in the video survived except for harry ramos, he was a true hero and will forever be remembered ❤️
Thank you for uploading this!!! :) I’ve been looking for videos of how the WTC looked inside before 9/11 because I have never seen it. This is the 1st video I found. WTC looks beautiful, big, LOTTTSSSSS of people (& lots of people there when the planes hit unfortunately). I love how candid & authentic this video is ❤
Sometimes, just seeing the towers falling doesn't give justice to the horrors of 9/11. Sometimes you might see them falling down and think "they're just buildings, they can rebuild." without stopping to think about the thousands of people inside of them. This video is valuable footage. It helps you really stop and think about the victims. They were innocent people like you and I, who did nothing to justify the horrific pain and suffering they went through on that terrible day. 5:19 just imagine looking down from that height with only 2 options; Jump to your death, or die in the towers. #NeverForeget
Surreal footage. Looking at this, I strangely think about how I was alive somewhere close by (relatively speaking) in this confined video world I am watching now. I was 6 going on 7, it was 11am at some parts so I was in school in the first grade and probably at my grandmother's apartment in uptown Manhattan by 4pm during the end of the video. Either Innocently playing PS1 or having fun at the park waiting for us to pick my mom up from work like we did every day. At the same time, these people were grown adults, working their 9-5's not far away in downtown, and a year and a half later some of them would be gone forever. Very eerie and sad.
Tragedies always hit even harder when you really think about everyone not as numbers or stories, but real people, like me, and you, with more stories to tell, hobbies, dreams, guilt and regret, and there were 2997 individual one of them..
We saw the events happen from the outside. And that was horrifying enough. But when you really think about, being in an office and that chaos happening, so many different scenarios. People were in rooms with collapsed ceilings. Flames. People being crushed by all sorts of things. Imagine how much stuff is actually in this building. All that equipment. Toilets. Collapsing staircases. The horror is endless.
This breaks my heart and fills it with joy. Seeing these people joking around, and comfortable with each other. The joke he made in the break room that almost brought his friend to his knees was something I rewound several times.
I wish i was alive then. Everyones fooling around and having a good day at work. Everyones smiling and happy. Then i was born 9 years after 9 11 when Everyones life changed forever
Looks like Joanne Capestro at 10:50 who walks by the office. She is the lady who was photographed barefoot, covered in dust and sitting on a sidewalk after the towers fell.
