Madstad is a US-based manufacturer of fully-adjustable windshields for the motorcycle and motorsports industry!
What makes it a Madstad? Our mounting system has been designed to separate the windshield from the bike, allowing air to flow under it and relieve the vacuum that would normally dump turbulence onto your head. Our shield angle controls enable to you can dial in the smoothest possible airflow so you and your passenger can enjoy the open road to the fullest!
We're more than just windshields! While complete windshield systems for adventure bikes, sport touring, enduro, naked standards, baggers, modern classics and sport bikes are our specialty, we also manufacture windshields, bumpers, winch mounts, bumpers and other accessories for Slingshots and side-by-sides.
smh..... if you need a top ..buy a car... it totally defeats the purpose of what the experience is all about.. that looks retarded BTW! i would never put something that stupid on mine! i have almost 98k on mine !
It doesn't look like that rack is a good option as an accessory for that Phoenix Roof system... That mini spoiler take some of that space where the luggage would be. Just my opinion..
This would have been sick if they made it retract all the way back to the rear. Almost like having a hardtop convertible. I’d buy this thing in a minute if it did that.
I bought one when I had my Victory Cross Country Tour and it made a massive difference. When I bought my Yamaha Super Tenere it was the first thing I got. Excellent products.
Yes, I've had it a while. Installation went well. It constantly "snags" when trying to move it forward or back using the adjusting nobs. I haven't figured out why, but it can be annoying. As to wind protection, it is a night and day difference compared to no windshield. I still get wind noise at highway speed but removing that wind blast from my chest at 75mph makes for a much more comfortable ride.@@noone-ls5sm
Thanks so much! That’s a great idea for a video, and we’ll definitely add that to the list. All of our shields are measured from the center bottom to the center top. You want to have the shield in its lowest point with the top of the shield below your field of view by approximately 2 - 4 inches. Because ours are adjustable, you’ll have upward and tilt adjustability to select the best wind deflection for your journeys. Hope this helps in the interim, and thanks again for the idea!
Congrats on your new channel.... do you have (or can you make) a video showing how to properly size a windshield? I have a Triumph T120 with a flyscreen, but after several long highway/interstate trips I am now ready for a full-size screen. Friends tell me to err on the high side (get one slightly higher than recommended) to ensure your helmet isn't buffeted.
