I'm Brie, the co-owner of Breezy Tee and Frais By Breezy Tee. I'm a New Yorker, born and raised, who is now living life abroad, in Europe.
My channel is all about highlighting luxury beauty on brown skin. When I didn't see products I was interested in, on people who looked like me, I began to focus solely on those products. As I continue to mature, along with my skin, highlighting products for maturing/changing skin, in my mid 40s, is also important to me.
If you don't get anything else from me, you'll get my honest opinions. Enjoy!
This has been really helpful. We are a shade match in a few foundations and I've been looking for someone closer to my skin tone that has tried Audrey. I've had Audrey, Romy, and Ribbon in my cart just waiting to feel good about moving forward with Audrey. Also you helped me decide if I should get the Hermes bronzer in Sienne or Colorado and I think I'll go with Colorado as well.
You look lovely! I think the eye pencils just take a bit of getting used as they are markedly different from the VBB eye kohls, which is a different formula. I have Vert Titien and it’s a really stunning teal green. I was in the post office the other day and the postmistress even commented on it, how much she liked the colour. The pencil does seem to be easier to apply from the second time onwards. The first application was difficult and also caused transfer to my upper (hooded) lids. But no issues second time. However, longevity is not as good as VBB kohls, and whilst I still caught a flash of green at the end of the day, it did seem that much of it has disappeared over the course of the day. I have just bought Rouge Sellier as the colour speaks to me so shall see if application/ longevity is any different. I bought the highlighter today - available only on the Hermes website. I passed on the entire Chanel and Dior holiday collection so this is my Christmas splurge.
Yay! Someone closer to my skin tone! Obsessed with Lisa as a MUA and now brand but I needed to see it on a skin tone and lighting closer to what I can appreciate!
You have options. You can skip forward, which is easy to do, or find another reviewer who suits you. I make the videos I want to. No one is forced to watch!
Thanks for the review!😁 I love that Lisa has made these refillable and truly sustainable lipsticks! LBR is an interesting comparison, but the downside with their packaging is the magnets… There is another brand that sells lipstick in 100% aluminium, Juni Cosmetics (small British brand I would love to try sometime). They are not refillable so I guess Lisa is right about her claim, although it might make it a bit less revolutionary 😊
Thank you for watching! I find the LBR ones more impressive, but I completely appreciate Lisa's contribution too. The paper lipstick case from LBR is sturdy, and viable, as a lipstick case, while being recyclable. The leather case isn't even needed, which I love. I will look Juni up. Thanks for suggestion. 💜
I was really surprised by Lisa's comment that this was the 'first fully recyclable packaging' on the market given that LBR refills are also fully metal. They were originally metal AND plastic, but that hasn't been the case for a while. I think it's enough to highlight how amazing this is without having to say you're the first to do so. I appreciate that you have mentioned it on your review! And Audrey as a blush on you is gorgeous x
@@harlow_red23 hi...LBR refill mechanism is 2 component refill, paper for case & cap and the refill metal part what Brie is holding need a case to be functional on its own, it does not twist up...so, either you keep paper or their leather packeging....what Lisa claims as worlds 1st is world 1st mono material of refill....her refill is full from cap & bottom aluminium and used on its own.....so LE claim is still valid
I still have feelings about it, even considering what she meant by "the world's first." I still give credit to LBR. Having a cap is not what is revolutionary, the aluminum packaging is. And in my estimation, the paper case is too. But, I do appreciate Lisa's is also an earth friendly option. Thanks for watching!!
@@byBrieMoore Thanks for your reply. I didn't mean to take anything away from this particular product in my first comment - I personally think it's more impressive that two brands are thinking this way than just one. I have multiples of the LBR lipsticks and plan on picking up more of Lisa's refills as well (I only have ribbon so far so didn't personally get a refill). For me, they are both brilliant!
Thanks for this - always trust your reviews on make up before I buy them! I like the idea that these blur. I am ordering Romy and Ribbon but, like you, am interested in the dark cherry one the most - that colour looks sooo beautiful in that formula. I am excited for her concealer but wanted this drop to be a lip palette so you can mix your own colours!
Hey, Anna!! Fingers crossed you love thrm. How good does that cherry one look? I can't wait to try it. I love the idea of a palette we can mix. I'm eagerly anticipating the concealer.
Hm, I'm curious jow sould the darker cool tone look on You. (Medici?) Although I think, the red tones (Ribbon) are the best for You. But I know creamy red lipsticks are not the most practical.
Thank you for overview....I looked at the La Bouche Rouche.componenet you mentioned.....I guess key difference is that LBR comes based on their website in (red) paper packaging you can use with refill...so 2 materials...metal & paper as cap & bottom of that refill ( without paper casd, you need the leather case they sell)....while Lisa claims as worlds 1st fully 1 mono material...that means full component is alluminium ....there is no paper, as even refill cap is same material...so I guess LE claim is still valid...
Thank you for watching!! Yes, it's probably that. In my mind though, it's less revolutionary. Perhaps if I didn't know LBR existed, I'd feel differently. But, I completely get they have to market it however they can.
Looks like the current version refill of the Bouche Rouche is all metal. I see what must be an older version of the refill being sold online at other retailers and the bottom of the component is plastic and only the tube part is metal.
@@jackievillalta Edit: previously wrong about the refills, they might have replaced the plastic bottom with aluminum but inside the tube still has plastic. They do use magnets which aren't recyclable. But really this is measuring paper straws instead of talking about the big adjustments that need to happen between consumerism and the environment. The other reason I'm a little critical of La Bouche Rouje is they really push the vegan marketing but then their lipstick cases are leather!! Brands never have sensical marketing do they?
@@Dinozzzaur thats really great point....I have not realised that thr metal component Brie was showing can't be twist up on its own....as you stated...that makes Lisa case achievement that much more impresive 😍
@@ivaja2393 Actually I think I'm wrong. I watched an old video where it had the plastic and it did twist up. Maybe they did replace the plastic bottom?
I was disappointed! I was expecting that automatic smokey eye from the movie "the fifth element" ;) as much as the colors are nice, I'm skipping this time
Btw I think both Audrey and AoR are gorgeous on you, however your eye makeup today works especially beautifully with AoR❤️ Audrey as blush is chef’s kiss👌
Great review! I also got this set and I love it, I kind of wish Toast was a little less shimmery but it's still beautiful and the packaging for this collection is stunning, I love the colors. I'm also happy to see more cool-toned berries/purples coming out this season, the new Fara Homidi holiday set also looks beautiful, I'm still not sure if I'll get it but I have been enjoying my lip compacts from her so much & the berry shade looks lovely. Hope you're well, thanks for sharing!!
Thanks, Natalia!!! I like the shimmer because it's a holiday set, but I completely get what you mean. I LOVE the new FH shade, but here it only comes with 1 Lip liner. We don't get the lip liner option, so I'm not going to pay for a liner I can't use. If she sells it alone I will.
Brie - this is my first time watching your video and I'm so impressed! I'm glad you tried the new illuminator as I was questioning if it would be too cool on my complexion (which is similar to yours). I'm happy to see you using their bronzer too because I have been contemplating it versus the Armani one. Thoughts?
Thank you for your lovely comment! I don't have the Armani bronzer. Too many came out, but I know it's really popular. The Hermès bronzer is an absolute favorite. I have 2 shades. I've only heard people speak highly of their bronzer. Sorry I can't give any feedback on Armani. I'm not a fan of cool highlighters, and this one is safe for me.
It’s really nice to see this collection on people with deeper skin tones. You really created a beautiful look with the items Brie..😍. I think this collection looks stunning on you. ❤
🩷LOVE the Look Brie.. you ROCKED this Collection Girl all the way down to that Nail polish! And the Highlighter brought it all together so Beautifully on you.. I agree, these Shades are more Versatile than they look even as One & Done’s including adding the Highlighter as a topper or inner corner 😍Stellar Review n Valuable Thoughts all wrapped up with a Beautiful Look💜✨
You're the absolute best. Thank you!! You're too kind. 💜 Yes! I didn't anticipate loving each one on its own. I'm not a silver shadow person, but I go enjoy that one. Another solid job from them.
I like to follow energetic persons. But it seems most of you live in the states because i seems to only have american persons poping up on my youtube. And one from Italy. Not that i mind, i get a good variations of people but since i live in Europe i would like to see some from that too. I can see from my own country also - but thats all
Please try guerlain habit rouge parfum, much sweeter much better, beatiful fragrance for sure, like I said try it and thank me later,it’s that good🔥🔥greetings from the uk..
Eek! I had my fingers crossed that you would review the highlighter. Definitely picking it up now and still debating the eye quad but I’m a sucker for green shadows.
It's such a beauty!! Enjoy when you get it. Hermès also has the Vegetales quad which has more green shades. I have come to really love green shadows, so I can relate!
That lipstick is beautiful on you. Hermes is my favorite lipstick, I hate to say. I bought the first one because I had a gift card and it had been recommended. I just never expected I would love the formula so much. Rose Spice is my favorite so far, and I see they have a pencil in the same color. It looks very similar to the color you had on in the end. I haven’t tried their eyeshadow yet, but am thinking about it. Thanks for the excellent demo!
Thank you, Melinda!! You have an expensive fave. Lol. Thanks G or sharing your favorite. I really recommend their eyeshadow if you like more subtle, wearable, washes of color. They build up nicely, but are never too much!
