The great adventure of Selle Italia began just outside of Milan in the village of Corsico in 1897. Selle Italia was originally founded to make saddles for everyday bicycles used for transportation. Back then, automobiles were an unaffordable for most and the bicycle was the transport of choice for many.
Fast forward to the late 1970′s. The automobile had long replace the bicycle as a primary mode of transport and cycling was more for sport than anything. The Bigolin family took over Selle Italia and began an upward trajectory that propelled Selle Italia to the top with continuous product innovation encompassing new construction techniques and using new materials. This innovation and vision has made Selle Italia the acknowledged #1 source for high-end bicycle saddles worldwide.
This is what I've been looking for! -T Shape -Flat Profile -Thick Cushion Believe it or not, my favorite saddle is the FLITE because it is so FLAT but the padding is nearly non-existent, so I'm basically just sitting on the hard plastic shell. All the saddles with curves just make me feel like I'm falling or sliding off. I've been dreaming of a "Jumbo Flite" or a "Cushy Flite" ❤I hope this is it.❤
Hi @VYBEKAT, this is a saddle conceived more for commuting rides. Probably you are looking for the Flite Boost Endurance: www.selleitalia.com/flite-boost-endurance-ti-316-superflow/ or the Max Flite Boost: www.selleitalia.com/max-flite-boost-gel-ti-316-superflow/
@@selleitalia1897 Thank you for the response and suggestion. I own both of those saddles, they are on my road and gravel bikes. My issue is I don't want to wear padded shorts. The padding on these saddles is not dense enough to support my weight. (I am fit but weigh 200 lbs from rowing and weight training)
Proper way to wrap the handbar is to start from the middle, and end up in bar ends. That way you don't need to tapy anything, and the setup looks much cleaner.
The rider examining the saddle is Fabian Cancellara and he was famous for climbing accelerations whilst seated. But then they got a heavy set guy to do the lakeside climbs (unless Spartacus has gained 20 kilos since he retired) Yes, it is funny that they're marketing a saddle by showing someone NOT using it.
I understand wanting to show the saddle, but when two riders NEVER SIT ON THE PRDUCT during the whole ad it is kind of noticeable and counters the selling point as a comfortable saddle. 🤣 Hope you didn't pay much for the voiceover either, that was meaningless dribble. Great saddle though!
@@glotzmarc9092I’m not kidding when I say it’s more comfortable than the other Boost SLR saddles. The reason, for me, is the cut out on the other saddles have a sharp plastic edge which does irritate after about 30 miles. The cut out on the Boost SLR Tekno version is rounded and this makes it a lot more comfortable in the middle. I may try to use sand paper on the other saddles to soften the edge.
