The perfect companion for painting.!!! It allows you to focus, concentrate, and take a glance at the magnificent paintings at your leisure. Thank you. Nestor. Full-time painter.
Truly amazing the whole thing! From drafting the design to the patience during construction, the math involved for the perfected sailing ability- WOW x1000. Beautiful 🤗 Such an intricate project. Luuuv the Christopher Cross - "Sailing" 🎶
Thanks so much for this Tony (and for editing out any of my screams you may have heard)! So fortunate our paths have crossed. Can't wait to see where this adventure takes us....⛵⛵
Was just reviewing my most recent videos. Thank you again fo th shots you took for me. We could still do this next year without the world coming to an immediate end,
What a great job Tony ! I can see this channel taking off once the word gets out to the RC community. I can see that your passion for sailing keeps you involved throughout winter as well as summer. Looking forward to seeing you on the water soon!
I just saw your acrylic yacht, super precision work! I don't have anything but hand tools, but it gets the job done. Just did sea trials on my second last model the C&C27 in the ice flows at our club's harbour. Interesting how our two methods are similar yet different.
Great compilation, Tony! ...and super sound score, "in the summertime"...Love the cross-fades and slow-mo's (some real-time; some digital!)! Love the variety and progression of visuals through the summer! Plenty of fine friendly RUST-racing and gatherings! Thanks for taking the time (likely more than a couple dozen hours!!) and for the fine Summer 2022 sailing memories! Looking forward to many more in 2023!
Wow! Impressive calculations, plans, talent and execution! Automatic wing-on-wing! Sleek speed in gusts! Beautiful finish Great to see such passion and design talent! Love the video montage and musical scores too! Thanks for sharing!
Plenty of great stories & history! Thank you for sharing the fine spirited stories! …and excellent well-paced production by Tony! May the camaraderie continue for many more decades at BYC!
Très beau compte rendu ! On vit l' ambiance de club aux membres très chaleureux. Belles navigations. Bravo aux skippers et focquiers.En route vers 2022!
How would this hold up in fair winds from Panama to French Polynesia? This boat reminds me of the Albin Vega 27 for performance and lighter but tough enough for bluewater if one is smart. Then once in the Tuamotus, this boat with the roomier cockpit, it would be not bad for fishing the coral heads and shallows of that area. Once in that area a Bluenose would move well in light winds of the Doldrums (Cook Islands for example). Maybe NORDICA 20 or HALMAN 20 is another choice for this trip? LOL, seriously for 1 person.
I cannot assist much, being a racer not a cruiser, and having little experience in extended voyages in a small yacht. But speaking as a 40-year career navy officer I would not select a Bluenose for any lengthy sea voyage unless I was really trying to prove something. The stowage/cargo space is very limited, there are 2 'bunks' under the cuddy, and stowage in the forepeak. 5000 nautical miles at 5 knots (let's say) is a 40 day trip. The Bluenose is also a wet boat with very low freeboard and pretty tender. Also an auto-pilot would be working overtime unless you hove to every night, or rigged a steering vane. Overall, like climbing Mt Everest with one backpack and no shelter. It might not kill you.
The keel is still not finalized as I haven't yet had a chance to sail her under the right test conditions. I'm still not sure if she's balanced correctly; hoping for a day with a steady 10 knot breeze, then I'll head to Petrie Island beach.
Thanks! Next video might be up today. Making lots of progress (maybe too much). Might have to start a 5th model before Spring arrives and sailing resumes (in big and small boats).
Many thanks - it was fun to try editing the different views into a smooth sequence. The camera will be able to be fitted on the other models too. Can't wait to video a close-quarters encounter during a race, like at the windward mark!
