@ Dmitry Thanks for sharing. My father flew the Tu-134 N and A in the 70's and 80's. He loved flying very much. I only remember flying with it once, more often with Il-62 M and Il-18. Il-62 was my favourite Interflug plane.
Just love the mechanical ringer sound of the low altitude warning. Only in Russia. Though I imagine it must get pretty old having to repeatedly shut it off during approach.
when I was 10 my Dad had pilot friends in Tbilisi Airport so they use to take me on the trip to Ukraine and back, I got to sit in pilots seat and ride in the nose of the plane, as a kid you never forget the experience. pilots were Georgian and guy at the nose was called "engineer", Russian guy really nice guy ! now most Russians are acting like bullies but I try to ignore it and think positive. there are good people everywhere
Superb video! Love the TU-134 but I heard they are phasing these out which is a shame. The radar in the video, is that a weather radar? I thought the glass nose 134 only had the chin mounted weather radar which only scanned 180 degrees?
Good day. This type of the Tu134 has no a navi- compartment in the glass cone nose ,thats why You could see a navigator behinde the pilots on the right side of the board. The F/I is seatuated butween the pilots placies.Yes..there is interesting moment of the using the slide rule, but the course system is operating by the navigator's measurements.Sorry for my english.
tu-134 was a very reliable plane and pilots loved it; it first flew in 1967 so it as a dated design of course; it was the first soviet jet aircraft certified to fly over west europe in early 1970s
