They never last 7 days. 4-5 at most. I think it’s a very poorly designed system. Also, in needs to be calibrated so often you might as well not use it.

I love your video. Yes, we are ALL in this together. I've had Type 1 Diabetes for 52 years! I was diagnosed at 14yrs young. You're a real inspiration, young lady!!
Congratulations 🎉 I’ve been Type1 70 Yrs just Celebrated June, 2024 With The Lord by my Side & The Pump I’m A Real Warrior!!! Stay Blessed Always 🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
It seems like we are taking steps backwards with the 780 pump/sensor combo. Medtronic reps are very hesitant to be honest about the product or pricing. I've been a Medtronic pump user for a out 11 years now and they just can't seem to make a good sensor.
I’m sorry to hear that. Your experience is really important to us and I want you to get the best help possible. I recommend you speak with our 24-Hour Technical Support team at 800.646.4633, option 1, at your convenience.
@MedtronicDiabetesUS the reps have changed their story every time I contacted them. After saying my replacement pump was fully covered (after checking with my Dr) it wasn't and they didn't even get a pre Auth with my insurance company. Every dollar out of pocket now isn't even being applied to my deductible. Mind you, this was a replacement pump after my 870 just malfunctioned one morning. I feel like I would've picked Omnipod if the reps didn't lie about being fully covered.
Hi, Randall. We're sorry to hear about this situation and would like to see how we can help. We can ask our team to reach out to you directly but to do that, we'd need your information. Are you able to send us a direct message on Facebook or Instagram so that we can get that and get you connected? Thank you.
I have been on the 780g and guardian 4 for 7 months and I am so pleased with the system. My A1c has improved as well. ❤ I do wish that the transmitter would charge faster because the Smart Guard would be active quicker. I don’t want to sacrifice accurate readings for a quicker warmup time, so I just have to wait on it 🕰️.
Has anyone had problems with this system, after eating bs reaching 300 and not dropping for 4/5 hours and then dropping off to 80 and within 20 min hitting 50. I have these problems all the time every time I talk to my Dr he changes everything I've went from active ins times 2 hrs to 6hrs same problems?
Hi, John. We're sorry to hear about this. Have you already had a chance to speak to our Technical Support team about this? If not, please give them a call at 1-800-646-4633, option #1. Thank you.
I'd like to go back to a Medtronic pump but they're so big & I'm not wearing a pump that large. They haven't made a small pump since the 530G which is the last Medtronic I had.
It is no way as simple as shown in this video. To put it on properly on the back of the arm, away from muscle, you will need help from a partner. Medtronics needs to improve the attachment of the sensor and the tapes used.

@Medtronic Diabetes Here is some customer feedback for the Guardian 4 sensors based on 6 months of usage. Warm up time Warm up time is 2 hours for Guardian sensor Warm up time is 1 hour for Free Style Libre 1 hour Sensor updating This message pops up often This reduces the time when one has a glucose reading It effectively reduces the working life of the sensor It effectively raises the price of the sensor There is no such issue with Free Style Libre Sensor life Guardian sensor last 7 days vs 14 days for free style libre This effectively makes it half as convenient and twice as expensive Premature Failure Often the Guardian 4 sensor does not last 7 days Sometime the change sensor message appears after 2 days! Install convenience Guardian 4 sensor install procedure for back of arm is very cumbersome Free Style Libre is FAR easier to install Cost For my health plan, Guardian sensor costs more than 3 times as much as Free Style Libre sensor Impact on A1c Impact on A1C is marginal meal-detection/auto-correction is way over-rated the auto-correction works far too slowly Supply issue There have been occasions when supplies have been back-ordered. This is scary. Never had this issue with Free Style Libre My assessment at this point: The Guardian 4 sensor is not worth the extra cost or the hassle of frequent "sensor update" or calling customer service to request replacements.

@medtronic Just a note towards the end your instructing users to purge air bubbles into their line as if it was a new infusion line then telling them they dont need to do a canula fill step if this was followed it would likely result in air bubbles stuck in the canula
We recommend following the steps listed in the instructions that come with your infusion set. You can also refer to the quick reference guide specific to your insulin pump by going to www.medtronicdiabetes.com/Extended.
@@MedtronicDiabetesUS sure but you have this video posted which people will be following as a guide endorsed by the manufacturer and this seems to be a clear oversight with the steps being repeated from the start of the video, its pretty concerning to dismiss this and say its not a issue because we should be following a different guide when users safety is at risk
Hi again, that portion of the video is referring to a reservoir-only change in which case filling the cannula may result in the delivery of too much insulin. If you have additional questions, you can contact our Technical Support team at 1-800-646-4633, option #1. Thank you.
I have been on an insulin pump since 2004. The 780g system does give me peace of mind. I am so thankful that I have frequently had 💯 percent time in range days since making the switch from the T-Slim. My life is so much better now and I have much less variability with my numbers. In response to the child featured in this video- young man you are very intelligent and being on a 780g and sensor and keeping your glucose controlled is greatly reducing your chances of getting long term complications of diabetes. ❤ Keep up the good work young man.

wow no wonder nobody i know wants to use this system. so much waste. uses 2-3x more tape then other sensors while lasting 7 days compared to 10-14 days on other sensors.
Yeah doing all of that one handed is a joke. And if it’s on your dominant arm…forget about it. Get on the same page as Dexcom Medtronic. You charge us enough to update your technology.
