The Toys of Caliban is one of the most terrifying and unnerving pieces of melodrama ever aired. It's uncomfortable to watch and leaves the viewers with PSTD. An epic piece.
I love where they're arguing about the Lovecraft adaptation in the beginning and what year the movie came out in. Kids today won't believe that there was a time where if you had a question, there was no way to get an answer other than maybe going to the library. During the middle and dark ages of course.
As a kid, my best friends were my plastic soldiers. I didn’t have many non-plastic friends, and my mother was very unkind. Every night, I would put my toy soldiers in front of my bedroom door, and they would keep me and my sister safe. Most nights, my mom couldn’t get past them and the “fortresses” I erected against the door. They would hold the line. I like this episode’s story, because it makes me think that the toy soldiers in front of my door fought like these ones did.
Wow, this "show" was the first horrid nightmare of mine. This show this thing (this crypt keeper) lives in memory as one of the first things I can compell to witness and REMEMBER as a idek, toddler. Idk if you guys have ever had a nightmare JUST like this intro when you were little? With the crypt keeper there talking to you Lol. Whatever. And no I never watched this show so I must have watched it like, one time so that it stuck it with me so much. Must be like the first time I really felt I saw something creepy.

Peter J Novin's, played by Bruce Willis. What an interesting concept? We are watching only one side of the effects of the split? Is it Good vs. Evil of the same Soul or a whole new side to Peter, never revealed till now? Like a second chance to make things right? In order to accomplish that goal, the old personality of Peter must go since the actions of the Squatter are things that have never occurred to the Peter on the outside looking in? They definitely are not of the same emotional state of mind? Really then It begs to wonder if they were ever the same at all?
