Your nose looks like it was made out of a big blob of play dough and then just stuck on your face. A big crooked blob. And combined with your pointy ears, you look like something straight out of The Lord of The Rings.
different attire is stricter depending on who you hunt with but if you're a perfectionist and care very much about traditional attire and turnout here's some tips :) tweed is only really supposed to be worn by the pony club, those on gate shutter duty, and young children (unless its autumn hunting) also, ratcatcher tweed is the type you would be after. typically, we only wear tweed with either your pony club tie (if you're a member of the pony club) or a colored stock (yellowy beige is acceptable) brown leather boots match well with the tweed and brown leather gloves is *chefs kiss* although leather gloves may become brittle when rained on so beware of that. white / light breaches aren't reaaaallly to be worn with tweed more of a yellow colour is preferred. velvet hats (either black or navy for women) whether that's just a silk or a more traditional velvet hat are appreciated. And lastly pre tied stocks aren't the best as there is reason behind a stock, they need to be wrapped around your neck quite firm in case of a fall to protect your neck and also, they double as a bandage wrap for your horse in case of injury. don't feel like you need to follow these hunts are a lot more layed back than they used to be, i just thought to leave a comment if you want to follow tradition :)
That dog is going to destroy your house. I hope you have enough room to exercise him because man they make a lot of noise and they’re hyper as hell. You have to really work to get them tired and train them.
Hi Jennifer. For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed Yr vlogs. I've loved watching your adventures & watch with interest...not remotely boring. But as a Londoner with horses that moved to the North namely Lancashire I can honestly say my experience has been the complete opposite of yrs. In lancashire I found the attitude was if it moves shoot it. They will put a bullet in anything & the Countryside Alliance makes it clear that the countryside is theirs. The farmers you talk about ...I've known them for years. They have never let their bullocks out for fresh air they can barely walk & they laugh at anyone that suggests it's cruel. I honestly don't know these groups that protest! I'd love to come across them . The farmers also block bridal paths quite regularly. We have 2 main Hunts. One regularly hunt anything in their path. There are some really bad Hunts put there. Clearly your not part of that. Maybe give some of your Huntsman a voice so we can get to know them & like them the way Justin Ward & Footluce Eventing have done. Lovely to see you again ❤
That’s such a shame to hear about your experience with your local farmers & hunts!! 😪 I can honestly say that the farmers I know personally look after their animals really well and genuinely care for them. There’s also a nice relationship between the equestrians & farmers by me and I think coming together to trail hunt or go to social events the hunt organises really helps bridge that gap. That’s not a bad idea to give my hunt more of a presence/voice on here, I’ll see what I can do! Thanks for supporting me & the gang, always appreciate it! ❤️
Has it been 6 months yet? I feel like it hasn't been and I need to stand my ground and refrain from commenting, even though I'm pretty chuffed to see that you've uploaded.
My favorite horse at my barn is Sammy and my friend that now is somehow obsessed with horses wants to ride with me and my other friend at our barn and I’m scared Sammy will get taken away from me
I’m buying my first horse and he happens to be thoroughbred ex racing horse. He seems calm and patient but everyone is advising me not to buy him, I think they are just misinformed. Any advice you can give me?
The next time you feel like this, remind yourself that you are feeling excited. OMG 🎉🎉 Macalester fourth!!! That's absolutely amazing!!! So buzzed!!! Macalester looked amazing!!!
Happy that you are back on RU-vid! Yes it would be sensible to wear a body protector. And of course you are sensible. So body protector from here on, even the best riders fall of. Anyway good luck with the race!😊
