Status: Back in school for fall semester :[ well okay maybe not so sad since one of classes related to animation but kinda tired of this school stuff constantly with not even a month break ugh
From what I can hear the lyrics goes like this Woe to the man, the dark eyed-sailor, Ships adrift and the sea's jailor, Drag him down, down down down, down in the wicked depths below, Woe to the man, the dark eyed-sailor, Ships adrift and the sea's jailor, Drag him down, down down down, down in the wicked depths below, Lost at sea, the sailor cried, I will not drown, I will not die, The sea shall be terrified, the sea shall bow to me 🔁
"The ocean's rule I dare defy" Although, I guess I only got the I dare defy part in since I didn't know they were actually singing other lines when I edited this. I probably need to update things sometime later.
Honestly, I’m proud that Zoey is finally started sharing her music again. She’s come a long way. All it took was meeting someone that really understood her. And that person was Matteo.
Probably an Earthblood Elf. Someone kinda did a dive in all of Finnegrin's crew members on Tumblr: fearsomecaptain.tumblr.com/post/747860733619011584/finnegrins-crew-part-1 But do note that the "twins" and similarities of looks between crew members is because of the reuse of the 2D/3D models. Whether twins actually existed on his crew or not is up to the viewer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The only member that's actually confirmed is Elmer.
This is so wrong...the sea is not your jailer...Navigating is freedom...you can go anywhere you want and nothing can stop you. (other than the weather or the tides). The feeling of standing on a ship with the cold wind on your face and the freedom to be in complete connection with nature, the wind, and the world around you. It's exhilarating. No wall or tree to block your view or your path. And endless blue as the eye can see until you get to shoar. Dragging down...nooo. In contrary. That's why we have boats. The sea bows to no one. The sea is something that can't be controlled or contained. The current and the waves will destroy the shoar and the rocks and make more place for itself if it needs to. Even a river will leave its bed if it becomes too full and ravages the shoar around it. Same thing for a lake. You also can't decide the direction of the wind, the waves, or the current. You need to follow, understand, and use it to your advantage to go wherever you want. If you look at it as governing the sea...it's impossible. It's way too vast and most of its depth is inaccessible to us even if you use a submarine. You will get crushed by the water pressure as you get deeper. That's why I liked this episode and that discovery of the ocean arcanum so much. Finnegrin's point of view on the sea is so distorted by his greed and his power lust. And Callum explained it so well. This was awesome writing.
The whole thing is Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down, Down in the wicked depths below Lost at sea, the sailor cried: I will not drown, and I will not die! The ocean's rule I dare defy: The sea shall bow to me! Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down, Down in the wicked depths below The fog pressed in, the ice did freeze The sails caught nary a whisper'd breeze But to his pride the sailor seized: The sea shall bow to me! Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down, Down to the depths below! The ship it sank, its hull full tore, The sailor he could swim no more But even as he drowned, he swore The sea shall bow to me! Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down Down to the depths Drown in the depths Down in the wicked depths below
Devon said it's about Finnegrin and it being about Aaravos is a coincidence, which I can't blame people for seeing that especially with the "Ripples" short story and the recent WonderCon 2024 announcement.
A part of me didn’t want him to die, i liked the Idea of him being an inconvenience at times to the main hero’s while trying to sort out arovos. Sorry don’t know how to spell his name
I love the spirit animal series I was reading them when they were freshly published they were impossible to put down so I had to wait months between each one but they were definitely worth it So those who are interested they’re starting a new fan series on RU-vid of the first book chapter one is already out and they’re looking for new voice actors if you want look up the sign up sheet in the comments.
Find the soundtrack here: m.soundcloud.com/the-d-as-office/sets/lego-monkie-kid-excerpts-from-s1-underscore Stand by! S2 soundtrack excerpts coming soon!! decided to make some sort of celebratory short to conclude in happiness 🥲 still sucks that LEGO refuses to release the OST albums but ayyy this is an accomplishment to the 5 years of silence we had My personal favorite OST is the City Montage but that was too long for the shorts journey so chose this one (9. S1.E4 RESCUE TEAM THEME) which didn’t pay much attention to it and others too until it actually released oop 😂
@@theangryenderman7073its probably a symbol, developers came up with this song specifically for the scene where they go to aravos prison, they sailed on a pirate ship, so developers turned it into a shanty, so instead of writing a song about a mage arovos they wrote a song about a sailor
wow this is epic, i hope you don't have to take it down because this a good compilation and you didn't need to add notes for TheSongTheNightHunterStoleFromMeᵀᴹ either anyways the real reason zoey plays a bass guitar is because lego can't fit 6 strings on a minifigure scale guitar frfr
You might think that from the part heard in the show but the full thing is Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down, Down in the wicked depths below Lost at sea, the sailor cried: I will not drown, and I will not die! The ocean's rule I dare defy: The sea shall bow to me! Woe to the man, the dark-eyed sailor Ship's adrift and the sea's his jailor Drag him down, Down, down, down Down to the depths Drown in the depths Down in the wicked depths below Which makes it pretty clear it’s really about finnegrin
Yeah, I think the creators confirmed it was about finnegrin, guess the parts that got me where the dark eyed sailor part, then talking about the sea being his jailer and dragged down to the wicked depths below, it did sound alot like aaravos
lol I saw this a while back but didn't reply. Looked into percussion before but think it's just a regular whistle probably and they tweak it with the sound designers.
For me, he wasn't bad, just not a kind of villain I feel intimidated by this far in the series with aaravos very close to coming out, but hisblast episode was very well done, got some lore from him, and also, dude ain't afraid to kill tomget his way, especially when it comes to revenge
@@randomdude_24I theorized that this song was foreshadowing Aaravos. "The sea's his jailer" signifying his underwater prison. "Dark eyed sailor" representing his significant use of dark magic.
@@Lionkiid Um I don’t really remember how the form works; been a long time. You could try leaving, I suppose. If there’s trouble, you could DM one of the mods, if you can see them in the server. Or I could ask around if needed.
ooh, possibly. I have two different edits that I do which is one where it's only the word "my lady" being said or another one where it's every line/situation he uses that word. If there's one you really want, I could have that out first. He only says it 8 times so it'll be fairly short. I'll probably throw the "your majesty" phrase in there too.
I would need those in the cast to confirm it themselves unfortunately, if they were a part of it. That or unless the voice is super obvious, we know it belongs to this said person(s). It's not uncommon for minor roles to not be credited though. They usually schedule as much of the cast all together in one session to read through many episodes. Often, they'll be asked to help with sound effects, such as the giant roar that begins the S3 final battle. They're certainly not going to hire a crowd of people when they can just do it right from the booth. In cases they can't get those voices, the creators can just do it themselves like how Aaron voiced the "blood of child" line and writer Iain sang the shanty. I'm guessing Devon wasn't at the recording booth when it happened or just doesn't remember completely since these scripts were performed more than a year ago, at least.
The final lines are "Lost at sea, the sailor cried, I'll not drown, I will not die. The ocean will be terrified, the sea shall bow to me." (This video cuts out the middle part though)

You mean is this song original? It is completely. There's a full version but that doesn't exist in any media so far. I only put everything of the song I could find in the episode which is why I called this a combined version, in case Wonderstorm wants to upload a full version one day. Edit: Yes, the full version exists now: instagram.com/p/C2Skuv3xdTj 😂

@@Sandy-rw2fj props for typing all that but I THINK the lyrics are "drag him down. drown drown drown" am I right or do I just have horrible hearing? (probably second one)
