The point I was trying to make wasn't you know your buying a clone. It's about people selling fakes, claiming they are real, and charging almost new prices.
Good video and yours is the first to show the foam peanuts that Benchmade packs with the knife. I have been ripped off too many times from ebay, always a struggle to get your money back too not to mention the stress and I pretty much gave up on ebay because of it. My peace of mind is precious, I find a friendly local dealer and buy from there.
I appreciate the kind words! I'd hate when people rip off others. One thing if I spent 30 bucks thought it was real. But I spent like 120. And it was fake
I have many benchmade's and i have never got peanuts in my box and i can say im a fanboy so i have many benchmades and never peanuts in the box . Are you sure the second one is real? Lol juast saying!!!
It made it sound way more full! It made a very warm but strong mid range. I did sell the origin and took out the speaker. I put the same speaker in my orange rocker 30
Thanks Brother, your work does Not go in Vain ,I sat for the distance and both of these knives have caught my attention and interest and every one of you Tubers is helping us make the best decisions we can without busting our knuckles! I am thinking knurled Waypoint with a Tactile Bexar in the Pocket! That way i dip my toes in Each Company!
I appreciate the kind words! I payed for both out of pocket. I also had a Bexar for a bit too. I do something similar but I have a swiss army knife and a bugout in 20cv. But I do miss the way point. It was a great knife!
@@johnathan.jerusikYou're welcome! I like you're showing stuf that you actually use instead many other channels that show some crap they want to sell it.
@Sombre_gd I try to be as honest and as transparent as I can. My whole point of my channel is I want to help people. Alot of channels get so much stuff sent to them. And half that stuff is 100s and 100s of dollars.
A friend of mine sent me one of these for sharpening and I found that the blade hits a standoff. It's probably the worst I've ever seen; if it drops with enough speed, it'll bounce right off the standoff.
I have 17 Benchmade's and 3 other brands with crossbar locks and carry one every day. Also, I have modified every one of them ad have never had an Omega spring fail. Those scales look fantastic, the color match to the original scales are great. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing!
Hey I'm happy to hear that! Thank you for your kind words. I feel like maybe 1 person had an omega spring break because they probably bent it with plyers. They complained about it, now every person blows it up. Just seems like I have more people who say theirs have NOT failed.
lol i think for quality and simplicity these two are the best, had a cc, sold it, bought a dd3t, then sold that and got another cc, if i could if get both
you say you "play a lot of heel and toe" and that the "Iron Cobra feels better to play"....... but all those pedals are brand new and unplayed, no wear on the felt beaters, and one even has the footboard sticker on it :-)
So, I have played each pedal for about a week straight. One week on the Tama and one week on the dw5000. The ic900 vs the regular dw5000 yes the ic900 played nicer and smoother. That's actually why I made this video because I didn't understand why. Learning about the 10inch footboard on the dw vs the 11 inch on the ic 900. Also I play usually with socks or bare feet so I wouldn't ruin the pedals with shoes. Mostly because I did end up returning them. I don't make enough money to keep all of them. And I did pay out of pocket for them. When it came to the dw5000xf the difference between that and the ic900 was almost non playing wise. When I swamped the beaters between the ic900 and the dw5000xf each pedal actually felt like the other version. I'm not a heel toe player in the way of like a death metal drummer, I play heel toe more for punk and hard rock. More for accents and hardcore style. Some people do that with sliding their foot. I learned using heel toe. I hope that clears anything up. If not let me know!
I appreciate that! I'd say maybe the dd3 might be better. Cuts thru gain pretty well. I know he's known for using a tc electronic flashback delay. Which is a digital delay. What settings does he use, I'm not sure
On the boxes, always check out the “C” in Benchmade. The fonts are often different and the “C” is the most obvious. Just one more indicator that the knife you are examining is an imitation.
Thank you!! I appreciate a legitimate comment that helps and doesn't just bash on people for buying from an ebay listing, or buying a benchmade in general!
I get that. I usually don't just carry around the sling bag at home. It's more when we are out, or I'm at work. I been having to bring a tool bag to work everyday and this helps with other essentials.
Regarding your point about learning your local knife laws; don't ever ask a government official. Ask a lawyer, and only a lawyer. This applies to any situation involving legal questions. There's an old adage, "if cops actually knew the law, they'd be lawyers."
What is it about that s35vn thats making you like it, compared to the other s35vn that you've tried?? In that small of a knife, .025" is crazy thick. Its hard to imagine even being able to distinguish it from any other decent modern stainless, at that thickness. People are really stupid, so i completely understand why any company with a decent warranty isnt going out of their way to encourage disassembly, but in 2024 including extra hardware should be the standard. Im at the point where ill pretty much only buy a new knife if its from a company that includes hardware (CKF, Maxace). Anything else i wont pay retail, and will just wait to get it on the secondary market.
Yes the thickness behind the edge isn't the thinnest but it does a great job when I was cutting through some cardboard. It did really well. And I have had 3 other knives in s35vn. The SOG wasn't bad but it wasn't blowing me away. The chris reeves that I had didn't hold and edge. I had to switch to my Leatherman to fi ish the job. And bothe toor merchants that I had I cut one box and it couldn't even get through some tape after. I actually avoid s35vn alot of times if I can. I love s30v, I love 14c28n, d2 has been awesome, s45 the spyderco I had wasn't bad, but the other chris reeves I had wasn't great at all. But whenever I have used s35vn it just does what the specs and data sheets have said. I have used my cheap 25 dollar d2 knife to feather stick and whittle and still cuts paper. But this has been so far alot better. I'm not sure if it's a proper heat treatment or if it has good geometry, but it's holding up really well.
Hey thank you!! I appreciate that!! I believe in function over flash! There's alot of people on here that just flex like here's my over 1000 dollar watch or 500 dollar knife. No reason for it. Thank you for the kind words!
keep waisting $200 for a flimsy plastic folding knife...the bugout is the proof that people will buy s.... because marketing and youtubers says buy this, buy that...
I recently looked at some on these Chinese seller sites and they've updated the outside and insides of these boxes a lot, the newer "higher end" fakes are getting really close to perfect copies and eBay is absolutely full of them
@@johnathan.jerusik the triangle plecs I got I use more for banjo cuz the pluckiness and the thumb for more projection with finger style (banjo and guitar I guess) - REALLY makes a resonator bark!
Nice EDC set! And nice to see a bag from ukrainian brand. unfortunally their factory in Kyiv was destroyed by precise strike of 3 russian missiles about 2 weeks ago during the most massive missile attack
I appreciate the kind words! I will not lie I didn't realize the bag and company was from Ukraine. That just makes it all the more special to me. I'm devastated to hear about the missiles. I wish it would just stop. Please stay safe out there! Keep being kind, it's a price everyone can afford but so many don't try.
