Still remember my first ride in my old mans friends Gen 1 Turbo S when it was essentially brand new. Im looking for a GTS atm. In great colour in manual...that car is perfect.
You mentioned the new PCCM+ needs a new module to connect with the sound system. Does that module come with the PCCM+ package or it’s something you have to buy separately?
Hallo good Sir My name Ivan Georgiev and I’m a huge fan of Cayenne GTS manual. First of all thank you for the informative article - it did help me greatly with my research for a fair price for this model. I just wanted to ask if oh don’t mind what would you consider a fair price for 2008 Cayenne GTS under 80000 miles? With best regards
I’m looking at an 08 GTS today with 86,000 miles on it. Will get it inspected at a European Auto independent shop nearby before deciding. Curious as to what tires ( they look great) you have on this beauty?
This just turned up as a suggested video - 3 months late. I have an '09 Cayenne GTS - but it's not a manual. Your comment about 1st gear being "short" is interesting, as the automatic starts in 2nd unless sport mode is turned on or I override with the tiptronic (took a while for me to figure out how to access 1st gear). No PDCC (sigh), and mine has the "Basalt Black" paint color. I've taken it on the track, as well as on logging roads in the winter - the air suspension, low gear, and drivetrain lock all come in handy in the mountains of Colorado and Montana. My head unit (PCM 3?) does not include Sirius XM or Bluetooth or even an AUX port - I would like to learn if my Cayenne is supported by the PCCM+ (fingers crossed).
They start you off in second in normal mode due to them trying to get better gas mileage on the window sticker. I have a 09 cayenne s, and it’s not very good on gas. Even worse now that it’s a safari truck
Problem is they’re expensive. I replaced my head unit with Kenwood, then upgraded entire audio system with Alpine and a JBL sub for probably the same price. Sounds amazing.
there's one here in Germany listed for 30.000 euros. It's the same color and Manual and has PDCC. The inside is full spec with special seat with the logo stamped in.
Even though you probably aren’t gonna tow an Air France A380 or… entertain entering any Transsyberian Rally or… attempting to set a new record on the Nuremberg Ring…. there is something special about the Cayenne (particularly the GTS)… in just knowing you …COULD. I think it’s a brilliant automobile for a top tier Automotive Journalist/Enthusiast, such as yourself(s). Congratulations, great choice… particularly with that manual. One day… perhaps… a 911 Targa (for Andrea) would definitely finish the picture. Thanks for the video.
Hi Zack, great detailed review ! I love your unique Cayenne ! Brenda and I had the pleasure of meeting with you and Andrea at the VW launch in Niagara on the Lake. You both must be excited about the GTI ! Regards Mike
You are lucky guy to get this unique menu GTS, Congrats! I will definitely replace the old school radio on my 08 CTT with the new PCCM+ unit soon. Thanks for sharing this.
I Feel like Doug Demuro would love to do a collab with this car. Also since we are on Watch this can we get an updated state of the watch collection video?
