I would be ok with doing it if it was vacuum sealed or in a mylar bag with oxygen absorbers. You want to make sure the milk is completely dry and hasn’t been exposed to air that long.
Hello! Loving your channel:) Just curious you didn’t mention your stand mixer? I guess it’s not mandatory since I don’t have one 😂 but am definitely thinking of getting one! There are just so many choices!!!!
Mine is about 13 years old. It’s a Kitchenaid and they don’t made them as good quality anymore. When it’s time to repurchase one, I will get something better suited for whole grain dough. This one has to work pretty hard to knead whole grain.
Thanks! So all I do is brown sausage, then I make a gravy! Melt butter and brown flour, and for cheese dip I use milk as my liquid. Once you have a thinner gravy, throw in taco seasonings, chiles or Rotel tomatoes, and then whatever cheese you want! Stir until melted and let simmer until it’s the consistency you want! Pour over chips 🤤
I have found when there are no instruction on the package, they are usually on the website. Here is what is listed on the Azure site : For soup use 1 Tbsp. soup mix in 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer 6-8 minutes. For dip add 1/4 cup to 16 oz sour cream and mix well.
It's nice, when most people are headed for the store, picking from half-empty shelves, we're sitting at home relaxing and those events don't bother us a bit, at least from a survival perspective.
I make sourdough because I love it. My starter is 3 and 1/2 years old. But just FYI for you and viewers, I found one of those one-pound yeast packages from Sam's Club stuck back in the corner of my pantry behind some equipment and non-food supplies. The best-by date on the yeast was 13 years old! This had been stored pretty much at room temperature but plenty of times it was hotter than that when the AC was out or not keeping up with 110+ days. I used that yeast for a few years after finally opening it. Once I opened it I stored it in the freezer, as I always do with open yeast, but it was very old and worked as well as fresh, so either way is good - store yeast, make sourdough, whichever works for you or you prefer. I usually make a loaf of each a couple times a week.
I often just cut the whole stem and root it into a new pot either rooting powder and into soil or just stick it in a cup of water for a few days until it roots. Either way is far better than having to start over.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm shopping for plum trees for next year and canned plums are among my very favorites but they're rarely available on store shelves. My mother-in-law used to can them, clear back when I was dating her daughter - 50+ years ago, and I loved eating at their house and usually made a pig of myself with the canned fruits. I suppose (didn't think about things like this back then) that she got the fruits from the grocery store but I'm hoping to grow my own.
Thanks - I needed a good whole grain and rye bread recipe. Now I'm interested in seeing you mill the wheat, so I'll poke around at some of your other videos.
@@bakerhillfarmI calculate three hours because it took me three hour lunch breaks at work a few years ago, haha. I only had it downloaded on the work computer, so I didn’t cheat reading it at home. 😂
LOTR is my favorite book ever and I’ve read it numerous times and will continue to do so. There is much value in this book as a Christian or non-Christian. I think the movies are good quality however based on what I’ve read about “the series”, I would not even remotely watch that smut. Of course, being grounded in the Word gives everyone discernment and conviction over what we expose ourselves to and what we expose our children to. Hollywood is a beast that feels like its main purpose is to send you to hell. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is an excellent example. Every movie I’ve ever watched about “Dracula” is EVIL! Yet, the book is one of the best stories I’ve ever read! I encourage everyone to read it. Men are men and women are women (to be treasured and protected) and God is given glory in this story where the movies have robbed it of any worth and turned into pornographic trash! I’m going on a bit of a rant so…. Lots of literature is placed on a valuable shelf but, you are right, that much of it does not bring Glory to God. On the flip side, not every book has to bring up God in the story but a work of value should be “implied “ in good character and morals that point us towards Him…if that makes sense… Great conversation here. And speaking of Halloween…I was at Lowe’s the other day and I’ve never seen such evil decor! Now I’m noticing it more in other stores as well. The prince of this world is working overtime because he knows his time is limited! Praise God!
I agree with you! I will say I have seen some of the episodes of Rings of Power, not all, and they do not have sexual content, cursing, or anything like that, but it seems Gandalf’s “power” is… different. Not sure as I don’t know how the story will develop where they’re going with that.
I do chicken broth and bone broth in my Instant Pot but I’ve only frozen it not canned. But I got my Presto so going to give it a try. But I add celery and onion to my pot when I do it. I saw you didn’t. Is there a reason I shouldn’t or why you choose not to? Also, off topic, where do you buy your seeds for planting? I am in Texas, zone 8b and I see you are at least close. I had the worst luck with seeds this year. I’m thinking I need seeds more suited to my area.
I grew up in a Christian household that very much did Halloween and magic and witch shows, etc. I was saved at 12 and took a stance against it. By the time I had children, I went along with church trunk or treats and costumes against my better judgement to please grandparents on both sides. The motto I always heard was its all in good fun. I tried year after year to pull my kids away from the Halloween season and magic shows. Finally since 2020, Ive put my foot down and we have quit Halloween. Im also glad on the finance side of things because costumes for a large family is a huge waste of money. Im still the only adult in my family that stands against Halloween, but I know based on personal conviction and the verse that tells us to have nothing to do with witchcraft and evil, I'm doing the right thing for my kids. I will admit, I'm on the side of good conquering evil in things like Narnia is ok as long as you explain the meaning behind the story. Thank you for speaking up about this topic when so many won't and for sharing your opinion.
That took courage, good for you! We agree with you on these things- we do not do Halloween or anything scary really for that matter. God has not given us a spirit of fear! We should only fear Him in reverence and awe!
Hi! I watched all those shows before I was a Christian. I wouldn't now though. I see how Hollywood slips this in to our thoughts and our children's minds; it's evil pure and simple. I think the wall color is fine. You could always go lighter next time... Take care girl. Thanks for your videos😁
I agree that Hollywood, meaning mainstream movies, seems to have a desire to push evil! I think it’s super important to research the origin of some of the stories before we come to a general conclusion. Most of the time, the book is better! An example of this would be Charles Martin’s book, A Mountain Between Us. The book was much better than what they did to the movie! Thanks for commenting!
We did our potatoes by cutting them up then rinse them thoroughly. Afterwards I sprinkle some fruit fresh lightly and toss them to coat all the pieces. I then place them on the freeze dryer trays, cover with plastic wrap and into the freezer. We start our freeze dryer and let it run till it is below 0 then put them in the freeze dryer. I have re-constituted them and then fried with some onions. They turned out perfect and never any browning while raw.
I love this video. I have some tummy issues and introducing greek yogurt has helped me sooooo much. Unfortunately the grocery store prices make me wanna cry sometimes. So I have been binging the how to vids today and yours is so beginner friendly. Thank you!
I love your sunflower field! Let me know if you'd ship to KS cause I'd stick a picture hanger on it and hang it on my wall. Markets are hit and miss I think. you may do better at a craft fair.
