My great-great-great-great grandfather was Blackfoot. Born in Philadelphia at the turn of the 19th century (1800's). He died in Wheat, WV. Emmanuel Amos.
I saw Gyuto monks perform live last year, such an incredible power and transmission in their mantras. I love listening to this when meditating now, it really helps to ground and purify you.
Thank you! I still have a cassette version (don't remember where I found it, in the 1990's or early 2000's, as it is 33 yrs old) but wanted to listen when I drive, as a protective energy).
I have a picture of my great great grandmother who is Blackfoot. I drove through northern Montana on my way to glacier and could feel a connection. I want to find out more about where I come from.
When I listen to Gyuto Monks chanting I feel a force coming in my head and moving all over my body like waves. This is not music, this is some mystical force.
It is your own life force resonating with there's, joining through the vibration of the chants and the music.. Kundalini/chi/kieme.. all the same. Enjoy
Must've been 15-20 years ago now. I used to go to a concrete and glass stairwell at a local parking structure, top floor, to practice this, didgeridoo, and hand percussion. The police showed up to investigate more than once. Never did anything but look at me quizzically. It's good to be different.
