Rafe Garrett: (Actor Lance Henriksen)You got a real nice face now don't you, Johnny? But I think I liked it better the old way. Yeah, and I think I can help you get it back. [punches Johnny]
This movie played in Harvard Square (Cambridge MA) for many consecutive years! I saw it 27 times! Wore out the album, thank you so much for posting!!! Very hard soundtrack to locate. 🙏🙏💙💙
My dad owned this album when I was young. Played it on our big stereo in the living room. He and my mom attended all the big musicals at the Cleveland Playhouse in Ohio. This was real entertainment. Now I’m 80, and I’m not sure what today’s idea of entertainment is. It’s certainly not talent.

Fabulous score for a fabulous film, indeed. I'm not a music or film historian, I'm simply a literary scholar and a big opera lover, but I have to say that the arranger has done a very good job and this whole "soundtrack", if I may say so, is a masterpiece. Mr Sanvoisin has brought something of his own to the music (some pieces are recognisable and unrecognisable at the same time :) ), but has retained the spirit of Verdi, and this helps to create an image of the era in which these melodies would have sounded to the composer in the very atmosphere in which Dickens saw the themes of his literature works. And I think it's absolutely amazing

Uncle of my mom was employed at Koliba studios producing this movie, he was responsible for a technical scene. He personally knew the protagonist of main character, Jozef Króner. Greetings from Slovakia.
This music reminds me of my Aunt. She was born in 1899. I was born in late 55' and for the first years of my life she raised me. One of my favorite memories of her was of her getting me outside to enjoy the Texas sun ( after 4 pm) and learning how to dance The Charleston! Couldn't speak a word of English and a petite little thing but could she move! ❤
Thank you for sharing this! I have the cd recording and heard it back in the 90s. Last night, I listened to the newest recording from 2011, but as this was my first recording, I enjoy it more.
The film was a cult classic. I first saw it at New Community Cinema, Huntington, NY at their first location over a storefront on Main Street when there were no theater seats, just old couches. The fire department closed them down but they reopened at a former elementary school on Woodhull Ave.
Very sturring soundtrack-of course, a movie like this could never be made by the woke regime we live under..genocide, murders of native Americans, patriotism ("Shenandoah", "Battle Hymn of the Republic"); it is horrible!
Thank you so much for uploading this! Not enough of his music is still readily accessible anymore. I'm putting the track listing & time stamps here for reference: Side A 0:00 Knock On Wood 2:11 All About You 4:53 End Of Spring
