A living, breathing example of the Dunning-Kruger effect…
I reserve the right to publicly share any comments I don’t like for a public lambasting. Basically that means any comments that aren’t well thought-out (including bigotry), are asking for information I’ve already disclosed (which is the online equivalent of not listening to someone when they’re talking) or are requests. Nature has given you some functioning senses… use them! I “wear my heart on my sleeve” so to speak and I’m a northerner so I “call a spade a shovel”, so you break those rules at your own risk!
It's a Laugh that Alexei Sayle Fireworks PIF because That Year's Bonfire Night Injury figures were the Worst for 20 Years (according to the BBC's 999 Lifesavers that aired the following years).
Shepton Mallet can also receive HTV West. The Mendip transmitter transmits HTV West and is very close to Shepton Mallet, it’s just outside Wells. The nearest Westcountry transmitter is at Stockland Hill near Honiton and Axminster, which is miles away from Shepton Mallet but can still be received. Looking on Google Street View, half the aerials in Shepton Mallet are pointing to Mendip (HTV West) and half are pointing to Stockland Hill (Westcountry). So you haven’t really answered this as clearly as you thought you have!
@@stickytapenrust6869 I look on Google maps on Showering Pavillion , and i believe people who live in that area can get both Westcountry TV and HTV West because the BA44 6QN is near the border for Westcountry TV , I have seen that kind of thing before
Imagine you're watching TV one night, and you see a still photo of Queen Elizabeth II staring you down, smiling while you try to sleep for a good 40 seconds.
A rare sighting of the first version of the 1981 BBC1 ident. It was developed to the green and blue color palette in time for News After Noon the following day.
It wasn’t “developed”, the equipment that controlled the colours had been broken by their attempt to change it and couldn’t be fixed until the Monday when more engineers were back in work.
The BBC wouldn't dare to have a programme like Biteback airing in there now. Even Points of View has been squashed and now relegated to Sunday lunchtimes, where hardly anyone watches it anymore.
They switched off the signals fed to the transmitters by unplugging u-links in TV Centre and the BBC regional studios. The systems that the transmitters had were programmed to wait for the signal to be restored and if they weren’t restored within a certain length of time (I can’t remember how long), they would shut down. Automated start-up and shut-down systems were installed in the 1960s and 70s as more remotely-controlled transmitters were introduced. Before then, each transmitter needed shutting down and starting up manually. Each transmitter site was staffed. On very cold nights, they would leave the transmitters on to keep the transmitting aerials at the top of the masts and towers heated up so cold air and moisture don’t get in to the electronics and cause damage.
Why? 1) Sesame Street is commercially available, which is something I avoid uploading. 2) Sesame Street is crap anyway. 3) Big Breakfast is actually much better than it. 4) due to an error on Planet 24’s part, thousands of Big Breakfast editions - including this one - were wiped in error, which is why I’ve uploaded this. There’s far more pop culture history in Big Breakfast than there is in sodding Sesame Street! 5) it’s “should have” or “should’ve” in short form. And 6) you are an adult, why would you want see a kids show with no hidden adult appeal like Sesame Street? That’s a bit weird!!!
@@stickytapenrust6869 But we have to put up with the total idiot called Johnny Vaughn! He makes Elmo look intelligent. And I say good riddance to all those big breakfast shows. It was utter crap! In fact the only slightly good thing to come from the big breakfast was zig and zag. At least they were slightly amusing. Next you'll be wanting to revive crinkly bottom!
You think it’s crap yet you’re taking time out of your day to comment on a video about it and argue with me? *NORMAL* people ignore what they don’t like you fucking loony…
Ah, Thank You, That Incident of the man who saved his life by shaving almost sounds like it was taken out of an edition of the BBC's 999 or it's sister show 999 Lifesavers!
Switch to the OU suite I assume at 6:34, I'm guessing the first programmes in the morning were OU ones. I'm assuming the OU suite was only mono seeing as on all the clips I've seen from the test card coming from there it only has a mono tone rather than the GLITS one.
