Thank you , Todd. This build is absolutely amazing. I made it this morning exactly as you outlined. I am still receiving compliments. Much appreciated.
I have made a few of these type tables/workbenches. When you actually use something that you made, it's a great feeling. Nice build, lovely video. Greetings from Jamaica.
I have watched soooo many of these videos and everyone always just say a sheet of plywood..........there are soooo many different plywoods and i have taken more time trying to figure out what kind of plywood to get, I probably would be done with the whole build
Just a smooth 3/4" thick 4'x8' sheet of plywood - something like birch or maple or even sanded pine would be fine. A construction grade 3/4" CDX would work also but the bad off gas of fumes would be pretty bad for a while.
Great video , can I use 2*4 pieces for the surface to get stronger structur I wanna use this table for heavy stuff , so I was thinking to use 2* 4 for surface?
You use so much cold wax medium to create a matte varnish have you ever thought about just using the wax itself and just buff a super light coat onto the painting?
I’m just starting this project. Question: If the bottom inside support 2x4’s are 37”, doesn’t the bottom shelf plywood need to be 41”W, not 40”? 37” + the side bottom 2” rails would be 41”. Or am I missing something?
2x4s are actually 1.5" x 3.5" when they are dried and put out for sale - so 37" long cross piece + (2)1.5" would be 40". 4x4s are actually 3.5" x 3.5" as well.
Special work !!! great job, simple, cute and very functional !!! it integrates perfectly in the splendid photographic / painting studio ... special the handcrafted softboxes 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is amazing . I just built one and It took way to much time and too much money . this is way simpler and you made it look easy .. gonna make anything just for the heck of it , great video
@@TJsVette Thats awesome!! Its so nice to have a 2 year old video gain traction and inspire people to make stuff. I want to put casters on everything now :)
Thanks for watching Lyndon. The paint I use is regular artists oil color which is quite thick and does pretty well to not bleed under the mask/stencil. I do however seal the edges of the mask with a coat of black latex paint just to make sure to block any bleed.
