The first time I heard this song was on my car radio. I had to pull the car over to really listen to it. I am glad that I did because my eyes teared over.
I know this has been around for 15 years but I'm just now hearing it and I want to say that I really like your guitar work and the way you hold N on L and N is just fine.
My Mom andAunt Patty were !Driving ( shopping)when a new artist!Came on the radio!Patty- thats Kathy Mattea! She's from West Virginia ( like us)!Mom- I know who she is!Gregs been listening to her for years!Several family members working! In and around the Coal industry!I lent her Coal to listen to!She and my Uncle Bill! A Coal Miner loved it!I bought (2) TWO NEW COPIES!!One for each of their cars!!!😀😀😀😀
Nearly 14 years ago, I posted on this forum about how this song affected me, having just lost my wife of 39 years, to this horrid illness. I posted then as pjm290. There were many posts replying to me, giving me support. I thank you all for the posts since. The song still brings tears to my eyes.
There's nothing else that will ever make me feel quite the way I do when I hear a Woodthrush in the forest. I also had the chance to see Kathy live at the Birchmere back in May of this year!
