I've been enjoying your channel for years and believe it is a great ideea to add renovation content with more details about what it has been used to get to the final results ( for ex what kitchen furniture it was used for your kitchen and so on ...) keep the good work as it is inspiring and relaxing

No, dont do home reno channel, seize the day and expand your existing channel into showing contemporary and historical design in Europe. For example if you did a Euro tour you could interview designers and visit design museums. As I see it, you would go from being slightly quirky to being more like a fully fledged youtuber with a lot of viewers.

As I'm a great fan of all Vipp locations this would be my 1st choice followed by the Svinkløv Badehotel - it's got real historic charm. Unfortunately I have not stayed in either of them.

Which of these Danish design gems would you want to stay in? 🤔✨ Personally, I’m torn between the cozy seaside vibes of Svinkløv Badehotel and the sleek, modern style of Audo Copenhagen! Let me know your favorite in the comments below - and if you’ve already stayed at one, spill the details! 😍👇 #DanishDesignDreams

The video is amazing! Please, next time just think about turning off or lowering the music in some parts 🤍 I feel like the video would be much better with no noise or only the background silence and occasional sound of materials reacting to your walk and touch. Would be much more soothing ☺️ I love your content, even if you don’t change anything ❤️

Hi Professor Torp.🎓👋🏾🌞 Oh my! you have worked very hard. ' The old lady' looks lovely.👌🏾🏡 Well done. All your effort has and continues to pay off. Your apple tree is divine. The log shed is impressive. It has been lovely to see her brought back to life for you and hubby and hopefully to the next owner. Oh my goodness, let's look for a midcentury property. We would ❤ that. Take care. London is here.🇬🇧🇧🇻. Till next time.

You're moving already?! Why? Now that the place looks great and you have your grounds the way you want it with all those lovely fruit trees and berry shrubs, peace and quiet and room to invite friends and family...I thought you'd be there for quite a while, very surprised.

@AllanTorp
@AllanTorp 25 дней назад
Tak for input.

This reminds me of so many German homes that I remember as a kid in the 90s. They had warm woods, simple lines and big and beautiful windows, oftentimes there was a perceptible Japanese influence. It’s like a retro version of today’s Japandi style. It’s the reason I recently renovated my kitchen in this style as well, like Allan said it just feels amazing and comforting to be in a space like that.
@AllanTorp
@AllanTorp Месяц назад
Wow, sounds like you captured the perfect blend of nostalgia and modern comfort! 🤩 It’s amazing how the warm woods, clean lines, and big windows from those homes made such a lasting impression. And you're spot on-there’s definitely a retro-Japandi vibe going on! Combining that natural, serene feeling with a minimalist design is like the best of both worlds. I bet your kitchen is a total sanctuary now! 🍃 What’s your favorite part of the renovation?
@ih2439
@ih2439 Месяц назад
@@AllanTorp thank you for your comment. I actually watched a lot of your content when planning my kitchen renovation which helped immensely! It’s hard to say what my favorite part of my new kitchen is because all the elements play off each other so nicely but the color scheme in general is just so calming with a mix of mid-tone woods, white countertops with gray and gold veining, light gray stone floors and pops of black. Sounds very formulaic when you write it out but it really is a winning combination for a serene space. There’s a reason why Scandi and minimalist-inspired design is so enduring!

I'm old enough to remember these designs as ultramodern and visionary. The Jetsons! I'm nostalgic for a futuristic vision never quite materialized. Vietnam War, racial conflict, and neo-fascism destroyed "the dream we dreamed".
@AllanTorp
@AllanTorp Месяц назад
What a fascinating perspective! 🌟 The Jetsons really did capture that space-age optimism, didn’t they? It's wild how the futuristic designs of the 60s and 70s felt like they were straight out of sci-fi, but the reality didn’t quite match the dream. While the social and political turmoil definitely shifted the vibe, it's cool to see that at least the style of that era is getting a second chance. Maybe this time we can bring the beauty of the past and mix it with the lessons we’ve learned! What would your ideal "futuristic" home look like today? 🚀💫

Hi and thanks for this. I have an IKEA leaf side table in great condition that I thrift bought for about $10 Canadian dollars. I presume it is not vintage, but rather an IKEA re-issue. Wondering how one would tell.
@AllanTorp
@AllanTorp Месяц назад
Thanks for watching, and what a fantastic find! 🙌 The IKEA Leaf table (or Lövet table) is such a classic piece. To tell if yours is a vintage original or a re-issue, check the table’s underside for any markings or labels. Vintage Lövet tables from the 1950s often have a stamp with "Made in Sweden" and a more angular, almost triangular leg design. The re-issues tend to have rounded legs and a newer IKEA label. Either way, you scored a great deal! Enjoy your piece of IKEA history! 🍁✨

Glad to have found your channel. Very well-put. Per your request: Among my favourite (dining) chairs, is Michael Thonet’s bentwood chair. It is lightweight, comfortable, timeless & minimalistic. As for the 7 trends, I like the silver& wood. However, I am not too keen about the animal prints, or the rice paper lamps. I have had those lamps before. They are fragile & hard to clean. They collect dust, though love their looks.

Welcome to the channel! 🎉 I'm so glad you're here! Michael Thonet’s bentwood chair is a true classic-timeless, elegant, and so versatile. I'm with you on the silver & wood combo; it's such a chic pairing! I totally get your thoughts on rice paper lamps-they do have that delicate beauty but can be a bit high-maintenance. And hey, animal prints aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s the beauty of design-there’s something for everyone! Thanks for sharing your favorites-love hearing your thoughts!

I LOVE the PK22, probably my very favourite chair. But I love the version in rattan. Also the elegant lines of its matching recliner. They just seem to float above the ground. So elegant and Zen in their styling: the epitome of “modern” in probably any future century!

I have the IKEA cork coffee table/bench, light natural cork colour with the black legs, designed by a British designer, i’ve forgotten her name. But I don’t want to ever part with it! I’m kicking myself that I had just missed 2 of the matching cork stools when one IKEA store, here in Queensland Australia, had dropped the price to AUD$19.99, from AUD$99!! The designer pieces often go out super cheap when stock is very low and its the end of their production - but these clearance sale prices are rarely listed online here, as they go out in one day, or a few hours!!
