Flying characteristics, weapons & engine does matter, but what can make a difference for an aircraft in air combat & a dog fights are it's Radar & electronic warfare gear, capacity & support. Does this aircraft have EW capability to fight with JF-17, F-16 & J-10C of PAF? Indian Su-30's Radars nicknamed mini EWACS, EW & ECCM Gear didn't work against Pakistani F-16s & EW Aircrafts on 27 February, 2019, when in a debacle, IAF's Wing Commander Abhi Nandan was shot down inside Pakistan's airspace by F-16s of PAF & he was forced to eject inside Pakistan territory where he was taken prisoner. Hindustan Times reported that IAF's Su-30s were "out gunned & out ranged" by Pakistanis. This seems to be the reason behind Indian acquisition of S-400 SAM from Russia!
This talk shows the fossilised mindset of the IAF which almost killed the LCA program. They barely gave 40 aircraft orders and were expecting supply chain, and were expecting HAL to demonstrate capabilities.
This helicopter is now going towards being replaced slowly with the induction of MH-60Rs. A different platform indeed, on the basis of the time. But can carry out the same roles, even much more than what it is actually.
I worked on this landbased fighters but by this beautiful explanation of our brilliants is what differentiate between landbased fighters and seacarrierbased fighters planets. Fabulous. Jay Hind
Very disheartening to see that 8 years later, all the points that Vishal made about lack of defined timelines and accountability in defining a program still applies to IAF programs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣no one can trust zionist even their allies "british & american" they betrayed them, David hotel explosion in Palestine, they kiIIed british to frame Palestinians but it was zionists who did it, also the American ship "USS Liberty incident" the goal of zionist attack on the us ship is to accuse Egypt for this incident. They will never betray anyone on earth.
12 yrs after this video, today we know how good mig 29k actually is ! Highly unsafe and inefficient But robust mechanical performance. BVR capabilities is decent, not having a aesa radar is a big disadvantage
There's already discussion of retiring the MiG 29K in the coming decade. The Navy is in the process of choosing between Rafale M or F18 Super Hornet as an interim fighter jet in about 26-27 nos till the TEDBF is fully developed and operational. TEDBF is still in the early stages of development. MiG 29K,s started arriving in 2010 but were fully inducted and operationalised only in 2016 when the Harriers were decommissioned. The MiG 29K is a lethal platform in its category but is plagued with servicibility problems and engine maintenance issues.
