I have both. So the ps5 is more powerful than ally. ally doent have CD so we cant store games and has very less storage with the micro sd card problem. ally battery is like worst only 40 to 50 mins max. its just compactable , powerful and looks futuristic is only the good thing about it.
altho bigger power, it has terrible battery performance and it's a windows based handheld it comes with alot of issues i own both so i can't complain but i personally like my Steam deck more optimised better whilst the rog ally is good for games like cod and it supports vr.
PS5 is nothing to Rog Ally processors. The Rog Ally is powered with an 8 core 3.5 gigs compared to the PS5 8 core 3.3 gig clock speed. The PS5 has Zen 2 processor where the Ally has Zen 4 processor. Not only that, the Rog Ally wins over the GPU speed even. Powered with an unparalleled 10.3 TFLOPS and 2.23 Mhz GPU, the ROG ALLY is simply the winner. Next the portability, PS5 is a dumb loser in this case. Next the OS system. You can only play games and use few apps that SONY offers, but with the ROG ALLY you can immerse into a vast world of applicabilities. The Bluetooth featured in ROG ALLY comes with a 5.2 version over the PlayStation 5.1 version, and we are talking about only the first version of ROG Ally with the 5th generation of PlayStation. 😅 Anything more you want to compare?
I was going to buy the z1 but Best Buy didn't have that model and only had the z1 extreme so i decided to take a chance on it and i have yet to turn it on i just unboxed it which i was very impressed i also was given xbox game pass one month free with the purchase
This video was made by someone who doesn't know anything about video games, computers, these 3 handhelds, or making videos. They mispronounced names and got names wrong left and right. Couldn't get resolutions correct at all. I am not going to bother listening to someone who makes continuous mistakes.
And still issues with sd card slot and overheating.. should be pulled off shelves and fixed considering we are charged hundreds..that’s like buying a new car and the Ac/heat goes out within a month and it’s a known issue and they still sell it and promote it.. I don’t know about y’all but I’m tired of paying to be a beta tester.. they’ll still keep this on shelves with known issues and then next year release something way better ..while laughing at you and taking your money lol.. selling a faulty product and over 80% of customers having same issues there’s no reason this is still on shelves..
Wheres that at? Never heard of that school. He probably makes good money being on youtube and knowing a lot about technology so I guess the degree is paying off 🤷
Just bought mine this morning since my desk has been crashing A LOT and even my RMA crashed. Got fed up and picked up the Z1 Extreme. I AM HAPPY!! This thing is amazing and since you don’t need protons and such for games to work, it’s just like having your computer in a handheld size. A lot of my games are not too demanding, but the games that are have handled extremely well thus far. I could not be happier with my purchase! And the dock I purchased through Amazon also works with it to connect to the TV. I do miss the track pads, but I’ve adjusted to the joysticks and touch screen for certain instances. It gets warm but never hot. I’ll see after a year how it’s still performing though I’m sure in a year the newer models will be out anyway. I loved my Steam Deck, hate that it had issues. But this was worth the money!
@@slimjim5731 still very happy with it! If you force steam to launch in big picture mode you can utilize steam’s control mapping to the fullest extent. Definitely holds more power than the Steam Deck does, but that was expected. I have no complaints here as of right now. I know a some people complain that it has Windows, but these games were made for windows to begin with. I occasionally like to start up Minecraft Java because I have so many mods and shaders and they run great on the ASUS. Plus installing anything is just like you would on your computer. No need to run through several steps like you would with Linux. You can put windows on the Deck and it seems to be helping, but the ASUS has more power imo.
I just picked up the z1 extreme today. Which games do you recommend? I want to do horizon forbidden west, bg3, apex legends, fortnite, minecraft, assassins creed black flag, Hogwarts, hell divers 2 and final fantasy 7 remake. I bought a 2 TB SSD. What else do you recommend? Also how does it handle streaming games over steam to it? I have fast internet. @hexajon93
@@darth_dunedain106 well I’m sure the ASUS would run all of those games great on its own. My library is not filled with a lot of demanding games, so I’d be a fool to comment on what games I’d recommend. Although I can say Satisfactory and AC Valhalla ran really great on high graphics for mine! Just a note, I did run into the SD card slot problem that some have been experiencing. I recommend getting a USB-C dongle that has SD card slots a USB slot and a place to plug in the charger to it since it will be attached to your USB C slot on the Rog Ally. Seems to have no problems at that point. I’m hoping when ASUS releases their second gen of the Rog Ally (presumably this year some time) that they fix this one particular issue. Otherwise it’s been a great handheld so far!
I just picked up the Z1X open box at a local Best Buy for 467.00 it’s in wonderful shape and I’m amazed honestly.. my last handheld was a launch edition Switch so the bar is low haha
You mentioned how the ROG Ally has the proprietary XG mobile connector for their mobile GPU add-on and claimed the MSI Claw doesn't feature any such connectivity. However, the MSI Claw has the thunderbolt 4 connector which would allow it to connect to many more types of eGPUs. In fact, you could connect a full-sized desktop graphics card to the MSI Claw if you had the right enclosure.
@@beatsaberboi8237 yeah there’s so many great things that remind me of the switch on the steam deck. Except the games actually run good on the steam deck lol.
Its realeased at the end of this month or beginning of next. It should be available to preorder in bestbuy if its not there then it will be anytime soon. please check
Yeah, totally different devices. But since I got my Ally on December, I haven't touched my PS5 again. The Ally has everything I like to play already, despite some few PS5 exclusives that I'll play eventually
@@xxChemist If you have the extra cash or just want to wait for the next sale (I'm personally looking for it towards December but can't guarantee it) id go with the Z1 Extreme to handle those games better
The extreme seems like the better investment as not only will it play games better now but it be serviceable for longer as games get even more demanding.
Z1 is for someone willing to play emulators/AA games/indies/past AAA games. Anyone really wanting to play the latest of the latest should get a Z1 Extreme or buy a Series S.
