I've watched tons of videos on how to make the beeswax wraps and your method makes the most sense (time and effort wise) and the least mess. I think you can stack the fabrics on top of each other. Once melted, spread it out - like you did. Turn the whole stack over and spread it out again (to even out). I'm even thinking you can use another tray put it inside the oven (too) while your melting your stack. And once the wax-resin mixture has melted, use that second tray to press onto your stack. Turn both trays over, and give it a good press.
