Perhaps I am biased because I grew up with deep purple and the the Opeth vocals had no soul and the guitar lacked the feel of Richie Blackmore’s feel. Two guitarists playing the same notes but one with more feeling than the other. Deep Purple for me
This entire album is a masterpiece, and it's in my regular rotation. I came to BLS late but have been a huge Levin fan through his time with King Crimson and Stickmen. Stevens is a huge talent and Bozzio is one of a kind!
This entire album is amazing. Bjork in general is one of the few artists that hits me right in the feels so consistently, whether live or studio recordings. I recommend All is Full of love, the music video version, but focus on the music, as great as the video is the music is stunning.
Finally someone from the United States that recognize the art of Lacrimosa. I think Lacrimosa deserves more appreciation in this side of the world. 💖 Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
The man with the bones...the word you are looking for is Shaman.. he is a real Shaman. The ritualistic tone is a passage..., the shivers you and many others including myself feel while they perform are due to your primal being...being awoken from its slumber.. i cant 100% describe why i feel the way i do when listening to Heilung, but i know this much, Heilung release me from the traps of society and bring me back to Mother Nature and her nurturing. I've never felt so free and loved before.
Try Lust for Conquest by Sahara. They are the best progressive metal in South Korea. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LDQOng3D0jg.htmlsi=CnIXgH-71V7AqvEp

Akerfeld from Opeth here on vocals, he also was on tour with Katatonia in 1996. In a venue the people just jumped with the beat. The floor was shaking almost to a crack.
The music and the voice of Greg Lake is so beautiful on 'Epitaph' but the lyrics tears one apart like sharks in an frontal attack. It's terrible - and terrible good.
I love it when these things happen. Some not so recents for me occurred while watching the black metal doc Until the Light Takes Us (no, not really a black metal fan these days...but). There was a mesmerizing theme that repeated....turns out it was The Ballad of Broken Birdie Records by Mum. From another doc (can't remember, but I think it was about punk), there was an off-time metal instrumental that turned out to be a snippet of Hold On by Cloudkicker. Had never heard of Mum or Cloudkicker until some deep google! In the end, turned into a big fan of Cloudkicker. Mum? not really my cup of tea, but still like that one tune.
