This one a brilliant grandfather/grandson moment between Henry and Rumple. He literally gave Henry perfect life advice cause Rumple has had a HARSH life but he has gotten stronger from it. I also like how he mentions about having the liniage of the dark one and blood of the saviour in him and says'time will tell'cause Henry later becomes the author like that is amazing foreshadowing.
After how bad Rumple was throughout the series, why could we not get this sweet moment between a boy and his grandfather! I loved the good and caring version of him!
Eh, I prefer the scene where Rumple springs it on the Snow Queen. There he says he went back alone and collected the urn grain by grain, painstaking process but well worth it. That feels more Rumple to me than him blatantly giving away the dust's secret for exposition.
I've watched all the deleted scenes from the previous seasons and i always understood why they were cut out. But THIS... A Rumple grandfather moment?!? It's just so perfect and sweet, i wish they had kept it.
OMG! I never knew about this scene and I LOVED IT! They should have left that in, that's the best scene between this Grandfather and Grandson throughout all 7 seasons...I need more deleted scenes! Thanks for sharing, even if it was 9 years ago! lol.
Cutting this scene did Regina and the episode no favors. In my opinion, they should have cut out the parts of Grumpy, Happy, and Granny bitching at Snow and kept this. This scene explains how Snow ended up at the power plant, and also connects the thread of the episode between Regina's note to Henry at the beginning saying stay away to the reunion at the end. Without this scene, there's very little explanation for why she lets him in. She just does. This is a stronger, character driven moment that still has humor, and should have made the final cut.
Peo0le saying Regina was being rude. Not really? Regina specifically said she wanted to be alone, snow literally breaks in and ask for help and then basically says she can't do it because she has a baby. Snow and David always had a problem with getting others to fix their problem. She did eventually give snow encouragent and gave her an answer and no matter how 'rude' she was or how she was feeling, she had every right to ask about her son. And snow, sorry, but you really have no right to tell Regina or suggest she doesn't know what she is doing. You may have been a teacher but you pretty much gave that up as soon as the curse was broken and never actually raised a child.
Love this scene its the sweetest. He is being a real grandpa here and it’s the first time we see them bonding over something they have in common (bad memories). Although Gold does pose and interesting question: with his lineage, it’s strange Henry didn’t grow up to be cool, evil, powerful or ambitious

Man rumple/Robert just makes my heart melt. Such a talented actor. If there was ever a lesson example in acting with your eyes and voice tone, this would be it.
Lovely foreshadowing for things Snow and Charming did for Emma in utero that came to light later in this season… How trying to do what’s best for your child can be a terrible, terrible mistake…
I wish they kept this scene, rumple was such a complicated character, who kept growing and regressing throughout the series. I think this scene would’ve done a lot of good for communicating, more Sincerely, his awareness of that reality.
2:06, the way he says "No, Come on," has such a gentleness to it. Gold knows what Henry is feeling and he doesn't want him to go down the path he did. It's one of his sweeter moments as Henry's grandfather.
They didn't make a single damn episode about Regina holding baby Neal in her arms, or helping Snow or giving him tips on how to take care of him. Regina just cares about Henry and that's it? I found the whole series kind of boring to be drooling on Henry and licking him like a puppy that doesn't wean.
Right now rumple is doing everything he can to convince him to go the other way instead of it doing well what is it that you want isn’t given a warning no consequences all magic comes with a price deal bada bing bada boom you’re done
Is it just me or was it kind of misleading that Henry and Rumple have these interactions of somewhat bonding then like the very next ep RUMPLE WANTS TO KILL HENRY AND IS LIKE IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT. Like it's clear throughout the story that he really cares for family and Henry is his grandson and henry did mean a lot to Baefire. Soooooo it's confusing I wished they just let them have a good relationship like this.
What I would've loved to have seen was Rumple coming to regard Henry as another Baelfire. Someone to actually be a more guardian figure around. I feel like it wasn't as impactful to have Rumple as Henry's grandfather if we didn't get more scenes like this. Even during his darker/darkest stints during the show, pulling back to be there for Henry. It also would have been a good way to sort of level Rumple instead of just having him go "Oh Belle no don't leave me" every time he went dark, but instead using his "grandfathership" over Henry as a way to question his fundamental thought process, similar to how Baelfire got Rumple to fight his dark urges, Henry could have done the same.
They definitely should of had more of Henry and Gold. It was so fun to watch. Gold was such a great grandfather here, and I’d love to see him caring for Henry more
Mr Gold & Henry scenes are literally the best. Their interactions, talks & most importantly acknowledging that their grandfather & grandson can always steal the show. You get what Bae & Rumple could have been
