Nmixx is 4th Gen, they're like Mamamoo on steroids. Not the most popular songs I agree (I love them though) but if you have the chance to watch one of their stages practices you'll see why they're considered the most talented group in 4th Gen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X28uGaImYNs.html
Should water be wet? The real tragedy and blame lays at the feet of the companies who select idols based on their faces alone. Singing can be taught, so can dance and stage presence. But if you are putting them on stage before they have any of these skills and then saying "no one can sing stably live" then you are fucking up the whole industry.
I mean Mamamoo is too high of a standard cuz we all know they're the best but bottomline, singing live without a backtrack or autotune and be loud enough while not going terribly off tune and not have ur voice crack 24/7
If you watch 1st gen idol videos, like H.O.T and especially Sechskies who is known to be the best idol group who could sing live at that era, they nailed the live singing just fine even with such hardcore dance routines like jumping and tumbling. In that era, there's no such thing like autotunes or even in-ears on stage, but they didn't even stutter or lose their breath, and most of them were only 18-20 years old at that time. So what are these pampered new gen's excuse really? Do they think pretty faces and great body is all it takes. Kpop is famous for a reason, people work really hard, they really work their asses for it. If you can't sing and perform, then why be a singer?
I really love how they don't try to force the petit , doll like figure on themselves but live the way they want too , confident , brave and accepting themselves and being themselves
