Idk why i just remembered i seen the knicks play this year against Memphis in January in Memphis. Best player on the court was Julias Randle. Everyone was injured. Thank you Randle for being a part of my first time in an NBA arena. (Feel like i should mention i dont live in Memphis but whatever)
My theory is Knicks wanted bam and heat weren’t budging so they went with the Kat deal because he’s 28 and the contract is alot but for his production will translate well in a few years
Brunson, OG, Mikal B, Hart, KAT - Starting Five? I like this trade for both teams and I LOVE that KAT is off my Wolves. I am sick of his idiocrasy on the court. Good dude, stupid bball IQ, emotionally weak. Love the trade!!!
It’s quite literally linked in the description of every single video I’ve ever uploaded for the past 4+ years and it’s linked in the home page of the channel lol
@@ImClique ayo my bad I always slide over to videos and I usually don't check descriptions cause ya titles are literally describing what ya gonna watch before ya even click on it so I didn't see that I feel dumb now 😭😹
Yeah I was mad hectic and never got back to it. Contractually, KAT’s supermax would have kept TWolves in contract hell, and if it didn’t work out they’d have less flexibility to potentially build better/more catered around Ant and *could have* ended up in the typical AD-Pels situation where u gotta trade your star eventually. Heavy emphasis on could have because the team maybe still coulda won a ring with this roster they already had, they just almost got there. Also there was people in chat just straight up saying their owner is cheap which is another possibility, sometimes It’s less basketball-logical than I’d like to give them credit for. Trading for Randle gives opportunity for Gobert & Randle to both expire after this year if they decline player options, or they can extend both likely to deals that will amass to the total that KAT was making (id assume, bc Gobert is getting old & Randle tattered by injuries lately.) obv TWolves arent my team so this is more logical speculation than anything For Knicks, it was that Randle was expiring after this season and they were already in contract hell now w OG/JB/Hart/Mikal etc, Knicks now have a storied history trading every player they don’t extend before Free Agency (Quick, Obi, now Randle). The sources online are saying “KAT gives them assurance to stay in contention for years to come” whereas if they lost Randle for nothing, or if they would’ve accepted a mediocre return, it would’ve been ugly. I rock with Mikal-OG-Mitch-Donte-Hart but IDK if without a true 2nd dominant scorer/star that team is ever a contender, so if they would’ve lost Randle for nothing it would’ve been bad IMO. I don’t trust Mikal or OG as 2nd options on a contender. His value is understated even this past season, all the social media idiots say we were better w/o him when I’d highly disagree. But his trade value was seemingly always slightly cooked because he’s in a weird tier of players, and KAT was maybe at the higher end of that exact tier, so this was basically a dream scenario to salvage his value. They likely would’ve just considering he could’ve asked them for a ton of money and put em in hell and then lost em to Utah or sumn idk
Aight listen I like the trade for sure but you traded versatile big man who isn't good in the playoffs and an elite shooter for shooting big man who isn't good in the playoffs
Julius isn’t the same when it comes to doing what he does offensively as KAT but I’m a huge fan of Donte. Just doesn’t make sense because he’ll just be a bench player
@@cashtatum6158KAT was their best defender on Jokic in the playoffs. Randle is a worse fit for their team and cannot play alongside Rudy This is a cynical move masterminded the Wolves ownership in order to save money on the luxury tax, don’t look at it any other way.
