The sad truth is you just have to play it over and over again with your most comfortable speed until you can get faster and finally achieve the original speed of the piece, however your hopes and dreams would have been crushed by then since you have been playing the same melody for months so … It is actually boring unfortunately
Fur Elise was transposed a semitone up, the rest were transposed a semitone down. Or I could have just said it's in a different key, but two explanations is better. 🤷♂️
Fantastic technique, definitely admirable - but musically I think you should take another moment and look closer to what is written in the score (esp. dynamics). Even if you want to keep that "steady beat" (which many don't, but it is a way to approach this etude), there is development over the measures, when it comes to those staccato-eight-notes chords. Those chords deserve drama, and within those 3, 4 notes there is always somewhere a melodic line, meaning: not all members of the chord should have the same weight.
If Will sees this comment, could I ask whether you are still planning on posting the video with people's piano compositions? You mentioned it a very long time ago, but you never followed up on it
Hey :) I am! I kind of fell away from the channel a bit around then, and I'm really sorry about that. I'm working my way back into posting videos again and I definitely haven't forgotten about everyone's compositions :)
