love this !! rly wanna read jenny erpenbeck im sooo interested in her work ! n im so glad you mentioned free by lea ypi! i loved that book ! so many books u talked abt are on my tbr / i put them on my tbr bc of how u talked about them. also for a swiss rec i would recommend sweet days of discipline by fleur jaeggy! for where to start w ginzburg maybe voices in the evening would be good? or her classic family lexicon !
AHH, so nice to see someone else joining in the struggle 😅😅 Some great recs here, wish I'd seen some of these before I embarked 💀 Definitely don't read my Portugal pick, although I have heard great things about Fernando Pessoa and he is very beloved in Portugal.
great to see what you put on ur list ! i so agree w u about how busy and hard to navigate palestine looks but that is also on my tbr! i checked and my uni library has a copy so that's great. also i think even if your like concerned about what 's in the graphic novel bc of how old it is it shoudl hopefully still be educational even if it wont be up to date! & especially with palestine stuff i think often when people talk about it they only seem to have the badnwidth for the most recent latest violent event if that makes sense + cant look at the wider context of the israeli occupation. anyway i also am sooo interested in christa wolf !! i havent read any of her work yet but i rly wanna read cassandra first as soon as i find the perfect edition hehe experiments in imagining otherwise actually is an easier read than it seems imo, like it is experimental but it flows quite well! good luck with ur thesis ! 💕
Thanks for sharing! ! I love the mushroom posters on your wall at the back! also filmed the End of Year book today. I'd be curious to hear what you think if you have a chance to watch it.
